This is so refreshing to see! Lots of sets, actions, ball movement, and read and react. Everyone is moving, no one standing around. Guy is gonna kill it at LSU!

You do know that until this season Wade killed it at LSU offensively, right?

Look, let's not be retarded. Wade offenses didn't do alot of "standing around." You want to shite on "standing around" attribute that to Johnny Jones. His "standing around" offenses were insufferable.

Theres really no way to educate these kind of people. The ignorance is strong on the rant.

Talking about two different things. WW didn't run much of an offense but had talented players. MM actually can recruit AND DEVELOP players to a system that works. Going to be a night and day difference.

I've never been a fan of WW's offensive sets.

Relying way too much on individuals playmaker ability. Doesn't work against great teams consistently.

You can “kill it” through coaching or talent or both. Wade’s offense killed it through talent and his talented offensive teams were shut down in the tournament by teams who played well coached defense (Michigan State for example). I saw no evidence that his offenses “killed it” due to superior offensive coaching.

That said, he could recruit talent and I wish he had not been fired. He still had time to learn to coach.

That said, I

In my opinion Wade’s offense works better against great defenses than set motion plays. Wade’s offenses routinely carved up good defenses.

What players are going to be left there for him to coach?

its more than that. the purpose of it was to create the mismatches that you wanted. Its actually a pretty modern offense. The players loved it too, so it was a good recruiting tool.

You do also realize the reason we couldn't win in the tournament under WW is because we had little to no offensive system and had to rely on 1 or 2 players to get buckets on their own right? Go back and watch the Michigan, Michigan State games again.

Let's be honest, our PF lead the nation is stand still dribbling. Except for a high ball screen, there was nothing but street ball offense for most of the year, with a suffocating defense. We didn't win games because we were a tough offense to stop. Iowa State stuffed our half court 'offense' with ease.
I look forward to a coordinated screen, cutting, great passing offense. Watch Gonzaga if you want to see skilled offense, and please don't tell us ours looks better.

Works in the NBA...not so much in college. It can bring big name recruits that get smoked in March, see Kentucky, Auburn for reference.

It's like some of you have never watched a Will Wade offense. There were screens on the ball, away from the ball, and he utilized the hand off often. A lot of what was seen in the first two minutes of that video I just watched.
