That’s pretty cool. Especially after reading the comment about how it came about:

For a moment I thought they were doing the distraction trick that the Blue Angels like to do.

A couple of A-10’s did a flyover at an 11:00 game in Starkville one of the first aTm games in Starkville. We drove up for the game, but those early kicks are always the worst and we were scrambling to catch the kickoff. We were running late and I saw a very low flyover of (as I remember it) 2 A10’s coming in low and fast. Had I been in the stadium, we would have never seen them until the last second. We saw them buzz the stadium and it was awesome left to right. Big time flyovers in Starkville are rare. They came screeching down and it stood the hair up on my neck. It was awesome

I grew up seeing A-10s flying around Alexandria pretty much every day. Honestly, we didn’t know how lucky we were. I remember fishing on Indian Creek lake during the summer and they would fly by so low that you could see the pilots waving.

Huh? I’ve seen some pretty good ones over the years. We have an Air Force base 20 minutes away

I was woken up one day in Afghanistan thinking something was crashing into my tent. After I got off the ground I stumbled outside to see a second A10 circle overhead sideways at what seemed 100 feet. Outside the wire it dips down and brrrrrrrrrrrt.
One of the coolest things I've ever seen.

And to think our government is desperately trying to find justification and approval to mothball the program.

Growing up A10s from Shaw AFB in SC would fly around Lake Wateree. Always cool as a kid to see them

I grew up across the river from Mississippi's Old River Management area. It seemed to be a training area that had to come from Jackson or Camp Shelby. We were sitting on a sand bar around 1999 and they must've used us for a target. They came over the treetops right after we heard the sound. There would've been no running from it. Also remember making a bend in the river and there hovered 50 feet off the water either a Cobra or Apache, like he was just waiting on us. Once we were spotted he banked out. Crazy stuff.
