Russian court extends US basketball star Brittney Griner's arrest until May 19

According to Russian authorities, the two-time Olympic gold medalist was arrested on allegations of drug smuggling significant amounts of narcotic substance at a Moscow airport. US Representative Colin Allred, a congressman from Texas, said she was arrested on February 17.

Well hopefully she learned her lesson. Don’t bring drugs into strict/tyrannical type nations. As a matter of fact, just don’t go to countries with strict/tyrannical leaders.

If she ever gets sent back here, I’ll bet you she promptly criticizes the government for not getting her out sooner. People like with a sense of entitlement aren’t in the habit of admitting when they were wrong.

I guarantee she didn't have drugs on her. If they found some they were planted by Russian police. Those guys are as dirty as they come.
She's also not the only American being held because they found "drugs" She's the most notable. People obviously hate her on here so they will believe the Russian drug story and most hope she never makes it out alive if they're honest.
If she would have stormed the Capitol you'd build a statue of her.

I don’t think drugs were planted on her. She either forgot about a small amount of drugs or figured it wasn’t a big deal.
There are probably 100 American basketball players in Russia , the majority of whom are men playing for the top teams. No one else has been arrested.
