Will be driving to Baton Rouge from Houston this week and was interested in trying Boiled Crawfish from somewhere NOT in BR. I don't mind driving far from an exit if the crawfish are good. Not necessarily looking for a Dine-in option, as I will have a large cooler with me. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. TYIA.

Mo' Crawfish in Mowata. Off the Crowley exit, down Hwy 13 north before you get to Eunice.

Cajun Claws in Rayne is about as close to being a drive-through on I-10 as you can get. I've only been there once and the crawfish were real good.

Google Map of how close to I-10 it is

LT's Boil House is a drive thru that is really good.

I'm not a fan of Cajun Claws in Duson (FYI it is not associated with the popular Cajun Claws in Abbeville, just ripped off the name).

Hawks is also very good and has a popup on Wednesday and Thursday night at Hideaway on Lee (downtown Lafayette).

Richard’s in Abbeville. Only select crawfish. Well seasoned.

If driving to BR from the west you should take 190 and avoid the spillway and bridge. Take the “old bridge” and stop at Tony’s. They’ll be good and hot.

Didn’t realize there were so many of us that frequent the same location. I’m there pretty often. Next time one of you gents go, let me know. I’m always down for a cold beer
