The latest on Falcons and Watson-- there's a possible meeting, but nothing official set yet for today. Still some things that all sides are working through before any meeting with Watson can happen. @GMFB

It would be a lateral move at best for the Browns and would mean they have to yet again start over at QB. The Colts do make sense if you ignore the fact that they have to be looking for an option that lasts more than a year. Jimmy GQ has his own set of issues, but at least he’s not ancient or Jacoby Brissett or broken like Wentz. Steelers already dealt with a past his prime HoF QB. Trubisky is most likely a stopgap for whatever rookie they pick up in the Draft.

Matt Ryan is significantly better than any of those quarterbacks and it will not be difficult to acquire him.

Watson officially meeting with the falcons.

Would be the dumbest decision if he decides to go play for that team. I'd take the saints with Jameis over the falcons with Watson, thats how bad the falcons roster is right now.

So Jerry may have made a huge mistake passing the baton to Stevie.

Jesus you were willing to give Gregory $14 million a year and he’s easily replaceable, but your Pro Bowl level guy you only offer $10 million to?

They need to let the bastard daughter run the show at this point.

The #Falcons will meet with #Texans QB Deshaun Watson today, per me and @TomPelissero, the fourth such meeting for a team that has extended a trade offer for Watson. The #Saints, #Panthers, and #Browns are the others.

Not sure why he would want to meet with the Falcons if the Saints and Panthers are legitimately interested. Both those teams at least give you a roster capable of winning.

ETA: Didn't realize he's from Georgia, which may be his reasoning.

I saw the proposed deal for Watson by the Falcons. It included Terrell and a bunch of picks. They would trade Ryan to another team. The cap would be bad. But they could make it work. Supposedly Watson wants to go there and has been recruiting for players to join him. It's where he wants to go.

The #Falcons, who are meeting with Deshaun Watson today, never processed Matt Ryan's restructured contract that some speculated will happen last week. Still a tough contract to move, but the restructure to kick money down to future years has not happened. Very noteworthy.

Green Bay is still $7mil over the cap with a little over an hour to go. Interested to see if they are able to lower by extending some players (Alexander/Amos) or if guys like Crosby or Cobb will need to be cut.

The #Raiders are giving pass-rusher Chandler Jones a 3-year deal worth roughly $51M, source said. As of now, that’s top of the pass-rush market in free agency...
