Honestly, the weed doesnt matter. He is an addict, and weed only led to him using other drugs. So sending him to a place where drugs are more socially acceptable is a horrible idea.
If weed being legal means other drugs are more socially acceptable, then it’s a bad idea to send him to any city that sells alcohol as well.
Addicts are going to find what they want if they want to. If they want to stay clean they will stay clean. It won’t matter what city they are in either way

GB offered Davante Adams $23mil/yr and he declined. Per Riddick, he wants $30mil.
Tell him to want that in one hand and shite in the other. He’s a good receiver but shite pay Allen Robinson 60-70% of that and live with getting 90% of the production.

Only getting a 5th round pick so this is basically a salary dump. Unless this is to clear up space for Allen Robinson…Yuck.
Wasn't he rated as one of the top guards in the league
That's so bizarre

Yeah he’s a top 5 guard in the league. But that’s usually how veteran trades go (ie Cooper to the browns). I don’t really get it either, if that guy is available to be had for a 5th, there’s so many teams that should’ve been lining up to top that offer, but once you make it known you’re open to moving a veteran player- teams will just wait it out until the values basically nothing
Some rumors that they are looking at Lael Collins and would add another interior linemen to fill the other guard spot
Pats have been really good at developing Olinemen and corners, and they are gonna need to do that quickly going into next season.
Also some smoke that they’ve made a few cap clearing moves in the last day or two so a big move could be around the corner. Not really holding my breathe there but if this leads to an Allen Robinson signing or grabbing a couple available defensive vets like Myles Jack and it could make a lot more sense

That was basically a giveaway on Mason. He’s only 28 and it’s not like he’s on a huge contract. I get why the Cowboys settled for a small payday (even though they should have received more), but no sense in the Patriots giving Mason away for a two piece and biscuit.

WOW. This might really happen:

BREAKING: Per Source, #Texans QB Deshaun Watson has been in contact with former #Bears WR Allen Robinson as well as former teammate WR Will Fuller on potentially teaming up in a new destination. I’m told the Atlanta #Falcons are the likely landing spot if it happens

Who is CJ Golson and why should I believe him ?

I feel like people are just making teams up now
someone floated the 9ers earlier today and it instantly got debunked

The Falcons would have to find someone to take on Ryan’s contract and even if they do that, I doubt they have room to add on Watson, Robinson, and Fuller.
And what connection do Watson and Robinson even have? They never played together in the NFL or college. I doubt they had any high school connection since Robinson is like 2-3 years older than Watson. Is there some family connection I’m missing? Same agent?

Apparently the Browns are the third team.
I don't know about the connection between Robinson and Watson.
Watson played his high school ball 15 mins.from the Falcons complex(I saw him in a playoff game his junior year) and was a ballboy for the Falcons as a kid. Him and Blank are close.

Finding someone to take Ryan wouldn’t be a problem at all. It would only cost the new team 8 million this year. The problem is all the dead money they would be taking on. Regardless, they could easily get it done.

Matt would be a beast in the Browns offense.
But then I'd have to cheer against him being a Steelers fan.

Would Saints fans melt if Watson went to Atlanta?

If Tulane alum, Lake Charles native and former Saints executive Terry Fontenot beats his mentor and longtime friend Mickey Loomis to the punch on a trade for Deshaun Watson, it's going to ramp up the Saints-Falcons rivalry even more for these next few years.

shite that’s a bargain. But realistically how many suitors can they have?
The Seahawks? They seem content with blowing it up and rebuilding.
The Lions? Maybe as a stopgap if you plan on drafting someone this year and want them to sit.
The Giants? See above.
The Saints? You don’t help a division rival.
The Panthers? See above, plus they are going for Watson or a rookie you have to believe.
The Colts? I mean they’ve already been down this road. Gotta believe they are going to go the Jimmy GQ route while picking the long term guy in the draft.

Probably laugh more than anything else. Atlanta is one of the worst run teams in the league, Watson can't play defense for them, and they having nothing outside of Pitts, but hey good luck adding two often injured wrs to fix that.

It's a different regime. Gotta give them a chance to clean up the mess left over from the last regime.

The Browns are in the mix, also.

The Browns' trade proposal to Houston is in. Their sales pitch to Deshaun Watson is over. Now they have to wait at least another day for the Falcons to make their pitch to Watson. Then Watson picks his team among Browns, Panthers, Saints & Falcons, and Houston swings the deal.

in order to even meet with Deshaun Watson... the Browns, Saints & Panthers were forced to submit trade proposals, per @diannaESPN the Texans wanted the proposals to include at least: - 3 first round picks - additional draft capital and/or - other players per @AaronWilson_NFL

The Colts and Browns both make tons of sense. Ryan is better and cheaper than Jimmy G. Does Trubisky preclude the Steelers from taking Ryan?
