Any of you ever been to the one in Mississippi?

The Shed Barbecue and Blues Joint, a popular restaurant stop for beach travelers in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, is opening a Baton Rouge location in The Oasis on Burbank Drive.
Oasis owner Luke Forstmann is partnering with Brad Orrison, owner of The Shed, to open the second location. Forstmann was looking for a family-oriented establishment to replace The Oasis, Orrison says, and they decided to bring the barbecue eatery to Baton Rouge.
The property was a perfect choice for the restaurant, Orrison says, offering open air and a ton of space. There are also a lot of fans of The Shed already here.

Fun Fact: They had one in Scott, LA probably about ~12 years ago or so, it made it about a year before closing.

I've never been but the Food board is bashing it pretty badly

Baton Rouge. Where out of town BBQ restaurants go to die.

food board has this up already as well is the subsequent complaining of crappy BBQ options in BR.

The BBQ is just okay, but Oasis has a lot of potential as a music venue with decent management. The Shed has a great track record, so I hope they can succeed.

Didn’t they close the one in Mobile with no notice or anything?

Decent management???? At least 2 restaurants have already failed there and they have a big controversy over their night parties.

There is hardly anything to eat within miles of Burbank now.

Watch some chowderhead come in, hoping they have good A/C, now that it has said it is outdoors.

The shed is awesome. If you can’t have a good time there, I don’t know what to tell you.

Its a cool place with average but not terrible food.

The one in Mobile closed their doors without telling the staff. Food tasted like it was cooked in a wet diaper.

I didn’t know they had one in Mobile. I’ve only been to the ones in Mississippi.

That place sucks the big one. No idea how they stay in business other than being a tourist trap, luring in families looking for lunch on the way to the beach.
Seriously you can get better bbq from the frozen case at Rouse's.

Yeah, this seems almost akin to opening a Stuckeys in the middle of a town somewhere.

Their sauces (that Rouses carries) are pretty good.
