The President’s speech to Congress was a very good moment for him.

In CNN's survey:
57 percent of people said they had a “very positive” reaction to the speech.
About 7 in 10 said that the policies described would move the country in the right direction and that they were optimistic about his presidency.
And in CBS News poll:
40 percent approved at least “somewhat” of what they heard, and 18 percent approved “strongly.” 54 percent said the speech was “presidential.” When broken down, the poll found 88 percent of Independents say the President came across as "presidential" in his speech.

Oh, what the frick. Who am I kidding? These were all about Trump's first address before Congress, not Biden's.

The President, on Tuesday night sounded as presidential as he ever has since taking office. He invoked Abraham Lincoln and Dwight D Eisenhower, heralded Black History Month, condemned antisemitic vandalism, celebrated American entrepreneurs like Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison, and promised a ‘renewal of the American spirit’. He followed the written text on the teleprompters more closely than any major speech of his presidency.
quote:NPR
It was his most successful.. effort at assuming the public persona and personal demeanor associated with his office. He stuck to the script on his teleprompter, spoke graciously to individuals in the audience and refrained from attacks on critics, rivals or adversaries.
quote:USAToday
he painted a broadly optimistic, heroic picture of America, and he promised that when the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2026, "we will look back on tonight as when this new chapter of American Greatness began.

Vixens speech was essentially a glossing over of Trumps platform.

And so it begins. The media effort to rehab Biden’s approval rating is in full gear. There will be nothing but stories about how great things are and how Biden is doing a masterful job of navigating all the disasters that Trump left him. They will also intensify efforts to smear Trump and all Republicans. Of course, the idiotic Anerican public will swallow it.
