quote:

“Marc Elias, the Democrat lawyer behind the Trump Russia hoax, announced a few months ago a nation-wide effort to disqualify about two dozen Republican Members of Congress under this bizarre legal theory. Rep. Cawthorn is just the tip of Elias’ spear. Of course, this would mean that some two dozen Democrats might be running without a Republican nominee, cementing Democrats’ control of Congress. This decidable effort needs to be stopped here and now and Rep. Cawthorn has pledged to do everything necessary to do so.”

Kudos to the dems - they play to win - the GOP are lazy and soft.

That includes the people that vote!

They will take this and say "We will get them next times!"

It's already happening in North Carolina.

Bannon had Rep. Cawthorn on War Room the other day. It's despicable what the Dems are doing, but not surprising.

It's going to be a miracle if the GOP take the house and senate.

Trump is a danger to Democracy!!! Republicans are a danger to democracy!!!

If they do much as make a move on that…. There should be another “mostly peaceful protest” break out.

If there is a true disqualification, then they should be disqualified. But this to me sounds like vapor. It won't happen and will disappear quickly.

On what grounds could they do this and why do you think it would actually work?

Saw something on Tucker past night. The quote they posted said he was disqualified because it was "reasonably suspected" that he aided the J6 event.

Seems like you'd need to be convicted in a court of law. "Reasonable suspicion" doesn't sound like it's good enough.

The only way Trump or someone like him won't run is if the R's lose or break 50/50 again.

I think this is the plan they trust. They told Tim Scott to go out and BS about Trump being the leader. Because Turtle knows the dems will steal it in redistricting & mail in ballots from a sudden virus---- for the great reset.

As long as the GOPe are making money;and the business round table, CCP, & chamber of commerce back them they are in the money.

Therefore, Rep. Cawthorn is arguing that the Challenge Statute violates his First Amendment rights by triggering a government investigation based solely upon a Challenger’s “reasonable suspicion;” violates his Due Process rights under the Fourteenth Amendment by shifting the burden of proof onto him to prove he didn’t engage in an “insurrection or rebellion;” is unconstitutional because it overrides the U.S. House of Representative’s exclusive power to determine the qualifications for its Members; and violates federal law because the “disqualification clause,” Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment no longer applies to current Congressional Members, because of the Amnesty Act of 1872.

Oh, I see now. This is that obscure Civil War era law that hasn’t been used since. I remember reading that they were going to try this approach. Now, the January 6th commission makes much more sense. They are setting the chess board to pull this off. With them waiting, there will be no court that can sort through this by the election time.

Their motto- keep power by any means necessary.
