How will your life be any better after Ukraine kills however many Russians this week? How will your life be any worse after Russia kills however many Ukrainians they kill?

That deal ends this war in 2022 and maybe 2023. Not sure it does now.

You're confusing "ends the war" with a temporary pause in hostilities.

No one in the world of international politics or military intelligence thinks Russia will do anything other than use a pause to arm up and go again.

The world basically gave them Crimea and eastern Ukraine without a fight in 2014 (thanks Obama) and it lead directly to Russian "modernization" and the 2022 invasion.

Should have stopped Putin then. Finally have a platform to stop him now.

Posted this a couple of days ago but had issues with the Atlantic paywall. It's now a gift article - no paywall.

The Senate has passed the bill on aid to Ukraine. Now it's time to change our strategy there too

The GOP’s Pro-Russia Caucus Lost. Now Ukraine Has to Win.

What do you think towing the mainstream media line on Ukraine is doing? You're just a bot on the other side of the Russia bots

I agree with your assessment of the war; slowly Russia is grinding Ukraine down.
That’s mainstream correct? Are we wrong?

The difference is I support helping Ukraine and you don’t. That has nothing to do with the media.

LOL, money nor anything it can buy will win the war for Ukraine.

The only thing that will win is bodies(that Ukraine doesn’t have enough of).

If Ukraine doesn’t get boots on ground from other countries, it cannot ultimately prevail.

And if NATO/U.S. does this, then it’s WWIII for realsies.

Quite the pickle.

Not at all.

You just think this will be a forever war, I disagree.

There has been a pretty clear chain of reaction here since 2014. We could break the chain, but we choose not to.

If we keep using the Biden version of prevail... total victory for Ukraine... then this is the eventual outcome, yes.

You've got it backwards. Letting Russia continue to grind away and pick off pieces of countries will guarantee a forever war.

The only way to stop the war is for Russia to collapse and go through another regime change. They've been expanding and contracting for hundreds of years. They're overdue to have some more air let out of their balloon.

Regime changes have gone so well for the world since WW2. Especially the ones involving a "collapse".

Lets just replace this predictable thug we have now with... who knows what. What could go wrong?

The lines today won't really satisfy Russia since the "annexed" all of 4 oblasts, none of which they control 100% of. So to get a peace deal with the current front lines frozen in place Russia would have to "cede" territory to Ukraine. There inlays a problem because, as I understand it, Russias constitution forbids it from ceding any terriorty.

I wouldn't get hung up in the paperwork part. They can language their way out of anything just like any other government does. Since it was obtained in a "special military operation" they can just say the lines were redrawn after the conclusion of the "op" or something

What platform? Sending over Kamala Harris to provoke Putin into a losing war then funding it?

Ukraine is not winning. What’s your next strategy?

Huh???

You imply that I formed my opinion after the media weighed in, which is bull.

When Russia took Crimea, I wanted Obama to do more than send Ukraine blankets. When Trump finally provided Ukraine with some defensive weapons, I was for that. I just wish he’d done more.

When Russia launched its SO, I supported Ukraine’s defense against tremendous odds and was surprised at what they accomplished stopping Russia and pushing them back.

The media had zero to do with things.

No, I said you agree with the media. I don't know, or really care, when you formed it.

They absolutely refuse to admit it, but given that several posters here believe Putin wants to march into Paris eventually the only logical step is for direct NATO involvement.

These are American aircraft and English is the universal aviation language in the world so they need a solid comprehension of it. They don’t need to be fluent but they need to be able to understand things under pressure and in a split second because in combat sometimes a split second is all you have to process information and make decisions that either end up with you landing back at base or end up hanging from a parachute.
