I've seen several telegram posts from Russians and one recent (last 2 days) video of a Russian POW that all say Russia hasn't been paying their troops.

This is from the Russian Z channel.
https://t.me/c/1552544518/5950
quote:

??In the Omsk region there is nothing to pay the salaries of the mobilized???????

The governor of the Omsk region Alexander Burkov said that the budget deficit is 12 billion rubles. The problem arose with lump sum payments.

“We still do not understand how we are to pay wages. And, of course, this problem with the lack of funds for lump-sum payments is very painful. Of course, we will look for some kind of solution mechanism,” Burkov said.

And what place did you think when you promised???

ETA another post from Z on this situation saying the local officals and deputies gave themselves pay raises instead of the money going to the troops they say they can't pay. https://t.me/c/1552544518/5966
quote:

??The budget of Omsk found 233 million to increase the salaries of officials ??

While in the Omsk region there is nothing to pay the salaries of the mobilized, Governor Alexander Burkov ordered to increase the salaries of local officials and deputies by 10% ???????

That is, to raise their salaries - they found money, but to help equip the defenders - dick ?! Take, people, loans?!

Recent video of captured Russian soldier, towards the end he says he hasn't been paid in months

On the domestic front Putin is increasingly having trouble maintaining his triad of support for the war. Russian Milbloggers are about the only source people trust for updates and he's trying to keep them on his side. The problem with that is... they actively loathe the Ministry of Defense, which Putin needs to actually run the war. Add to that "outside" influence like the Chechens and Wagner Group who are pushing to replace Russian military commanders with their own people.

Domestically the situation appears to growing increasingly unstable for Putin. He doesn't have a clear off ramp in the conflict (it is easy to start war, it can be really hard to end one) and failure could mean he is "retired" by tying himself to a chair, taking poison, shooting himself in the head three times, and then leaping off a five story building. Twice.

Tell them boys to shut up. Their great grandfathers were lucky to get a rifle with a bullet to beat back the Germans. Tell them to suck it up, it’s not even cold yet.

If I am not mistaken, none of the Baltic States or Poland wanted Kaliningrad in their independence, due almost all Russians who were and are sympathetic with Russia.

When the Soviet Union fell apart Gorbachev offered to give Kaliningrad back to Germany. Largely because of the friction that it would cause between Germany and Poland. Margaret Thatcher was opposed to German reunification, the final deal was that Germany could unify but would have no claim on the territory ceded to Poland, or to Kaliningrad. Kaliningrad was set up by the Russians to be a model resort city but is one of the poorest places in Russia due to lack of trade or tourism. The Russians evicted the Germans and settled it with Russians, and rebuilt the city which was heavily damaged in WW2. With a population that is 90% Russian it's going to be hard to find any country that wants it, probably best as an independent state.

Chromedome, they sure have a convoluted way of saying things. It's like intentionally leaving an out to say that's not what I said regardless of claims against their statements.

Agreed, sometimes I have no idea what their point actually is.

I think the translation software must suck, it's just not good at translating street Russian.

From the Z telegram channel who earlier reported that Putin might give a speech changing the Special Military operation to something else.
https://t.me/c/1552544518/5971
quote:

??Vladimir Putin canceled the appeal to the nation to change the status of the special operation, so as not to sow panic. But details have come to light:

“In connection with the colossal losses at the front, the lack of people and the abandonment of many territories, it was decided to use the potential of the latest high-precision weapons. If at least one rocket falls on the territory of Russia in the next day, incl. to the annexed territories, the reaction will follow immediately. The West will be responsible for this together with Ukraine. In this regard, they will be declared a large-scale… read more»

Right now, eyewitnesses are noticing the movement of Topol-M near the Russian-Ukrainian border, and satellites can be seen bringing the Sarmat missile system to full combat readiness (see photo and video)

It looks like a great battle is coming. Our influential friends from the Security Council channel have verified information.

The NYT is reporting that the US government believes elements within the Ukrainian government authorized the attack that killed Daria Dugina.

Can't wait for Americans who totally don't support Putin to start blaming Ukraine for "invading Russia"

[quote]Rybar on recent polling on support for the war

You'll note that the poll was done of subscribers to the patriotic telegram channels. Not shocking they'd be positive towards the mobilization. What's surprising is the # who aren't.

I'd be curious to see a poll down of everyone, not just those who are waving the flag.

The NYT reports that it the US believes it was the Ukrainians who were behind assassination of Daria Dugina, daughter of Alexander Dugin. LINK

That is some impressive capability on the part of the Ukrainians, if this report is accurate.

Yeah really “impressive.” A cold blooded assassination of a civilian non-combatant because of the contents of her father’s academic work. That’s not “impressive,” that’s murder. That’s terrorism. That’s a war crime. But it’s also par for the course for the criminal Kiev regime.

Sucks when your opponent uses the same tactics as you.

He handwrings about Ukrainian "war crimes" while sparing no breath to speak about the country that unilaterally and illegally invaded said sovereign country, executing it's citizenry in cold blood, and has been attempting to seize it's territory in violation of international law. Cheered on and propagandized on behalf of said regime by said daughter and her father.
