I think some of the demographic issues could mediate some of that demand, as China's situation is complicated due to their high median age and low birthrate in the long-term.

China has lead to a coal boom in Alabama. I’m seeing activity from the mines on a rate I’ve not seen in 20+ years. China’s power plant coal demand is so high that steam coal is more per ton than met coal right now. And the forecasts I’ve seen says this will last at least two or three more years.

Very interesting
You can see the language and the thinking at work.
The opening speaker was careful to place blame on everyone advising Putin (but not quite Putin). He seemed to criticize everything about the war effort.
Another rebuked him pretty much arguing that they needed to liquidate the Nazi regime of Ukraine. There was talk of general mobilization.
The moderator I thought implied the option of escalating with nuclear weapons but didn't seem to get any traction.

Ukraine will be rebuilt with help of the EU and with $300 billion held in check by DC. It will rid itself of that crappy old Soviet Era housing and cobbled together manufacturing at old Soviet built inefficient plants.
Russia loses the largest market it ever had since the fall of the USSR. It will make half of that up with China. It definitely cannot afford to give the discounts it had to give for crude oil sales. The entire world has seen that Russian military equipment is substandard at best.

Maybe one of the pilots can take a look and speculate. It seemed to me when they started to bank after takeoff they seemed to get a little too close and it looked to me like one over corrected in his oh shite moment. I did only watch it once and I am not qualified to fly a paper airplane.

Are you saying that because Ukraine used to be part of the Soviet Union, that gives Russia justification for invading them? That is what your responses indicate, is this correct?
