1255 pages in this thread and this is definitely the douchiest thing posted here. Congrats!

Doesn't matter. Its not our war. Its Europe's problem.
Most of us are tired of funding european military concerns.
What would have to happen to justify our involvement? How disruptive do things need to get before you will give your blessing? Have you heard the phrase 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'? Do you think that logic applies here in any way?

I guarantee everyone that is for this hasn't donated a dime of their personal money to the cause.
I’d donate a lot of dimes for you to stfu with this stupid point.
I didn’t get a say in the money that goes to shithole countries in the ME or Africa.
I didn’t get a say in the trillion+ dollars a year spent on transfer payments.
I didn’t get a say in federal funding of planned parenthood.
I didn’t get a say in funding studying on whale mating patterns and other dumb shite that doesn’t matter.
I didn’t get a say in the bailouts of the financial crisis.
I didn’t get a say in the trillions of covid relief money and where it went.
I didn’t get a say in the $2.5 trillion spent on the war on terror.
I didn’t get a say in the utter stupidity of leaving behind $40 billion in equipment after spending $2.5 trillion in the first place.
Stfu about donating for a cause or not. Washington doesn’t give a flying frick what you want to spend your tax dollars on. They spend on what they want. I don’t like it either and there’s no changing it until you Billy bad asses convince enough people to go up there and change it by force.
At least this money is generating more bang for the buck for our geopolitical interests for the last 75+ year than any other crock of shite they’d spend it on anyway.
Jesus this thread is off the rails today.

How much money should we send to Taiwan if China attempts to take it over military?

President Vladimir Putin has raised the stakes in an economic war with the West and its allies with a decree that seizes full control of the Sakhalin-2 gas and oil project in Russia's far east, a move that could force out Shell and Japanese investors.

What exactly have the BILLIONS of dollars in "aid" that we've given ukraine actually done for US citizens? Any of you rat-faced zelenksy dickriders wanna answer if the return on investements have been worth it?
Exposed Russia as a wholly inefficient and outdated fighting force for the world to see.
Long run this allows us to more comfortably focus on the true greater geopolitical threat and diminishes the future chance of a two front war with two near superpowers - China and Russia.
Speaking of China, a change in their very pro-Russia foreign minister to one much more favorable to repairing US relations is worth the money alone. Our annual trade deficit with China is around $285 billion. A 10% improvement in that is $28 billion, per year. That doesn’t factor some give and take potentially gains on Asia pacific security.
Also speaking of China, this seems to have thrown a big wrinkle into the previously increasing possibility of China doing this same exercise in Taiwan, which would cause us much much larger problems than a war in Ukraine.
Greatly bolsters the eastern flank of NATO with the addition of Finland, NATO troop & equipment repositioning, strengthening former Soviet nations like Poland, the Baltics, and the balkans as their soviet era equipment donated to Ukraine gets replaced with western systems which, wait for it, creates economic growth for the US defense industry. MIC aside, this creates jobs, additional tax revenue, additional construction to handle it, more jobs, and more tax revenue.
Breaking EU dependence on Russian energy, even if a longer process, which further weakens Russia in the future, strengthens Europe to have more power and not be beholden to Russia to have the lights on. If we can get our shite together this also means more LNG exports to the EU, and wait for it, more economic growth for US energy sector.

We arent there. We just meddle and give them money. We have no "ball" to take home.
We interject ourselves into every world situation and wonder why we are hated. Its because we are the biggest bully on the block.

So you can think of us as a bully if you want, but if it's not us then someone else will be the bully. I'll give you two guesses who that will be, and they'll both be right.
Also for purely national self-serving reasons, it's better for us to maintain influence globally.
Why do you even give a shite if we are hated?

I know we guaranteed to help Ukraine if they gave up their nukes. They gave up their nukes. Now they are in trouble.
Now we're supposed to just abandon them . It's unconscionable & if I'm N Korea, Iran, Libya( too late) , etc.....I certainly understand the mistrust they have when it comes to nuclear talks.

What, for interrupting your LARPing and cheering on giving Ukraine a blank check for whatever they want, when they’re also the most corrupt country in Europe? Yeah how dare I bring up Ukrainian corruption and the fact we’re arming Nazis, something you can’t refute and know is true. Yeah, sorry I like to think a bit into the future unlike you simpletons.
Seriously, how much money is too much? No one has answered that, although crazyforLSU claims to have. Just put in trillions of dollars to Raytheon, Boeing, and Ukrainian oligarchs that are simply stealing the money and fleeing the country with it. When’s enough going to be enough? You’re a fricking warmonger, and I don’t care if calling you that is unpopular on this forum. History will and has judged people like me kindly.

Ah yes, how dare I question Saint Zelensky and ask where my tax paying dollars to go. You deserve to die for asking such a question that the cult doesn’t like.
You really think you’re the good guy here? Sorry I’m bringing up facts that you Ukrainian whores don’t like, but war is nuanced, and anyone who brings up that nuance you want to stone to death. You’re not the good guy here, dude.

Taiwan is a very different situation from Ukraine. Ukraine being invaded is a major annoyance for the world. If Taiwan is invaded, then societies collapse. You don’t understand how important that island is.
