This offensive is another pile of shite by Russia-the ground hasn’t firmed up at all and now the rainy season is beginning.

It's not the true european rainy season. That is in the fall. However the spring Rasputitsa is not over until the middle of May.

Add Austria on that list, also.

They need to make blowing Russian tank turrets in to an Olympic sport.

I mean I understand why the ammo has to be stored that way, but geez. At least they finally learned their lesson with the T-14...if it ever makes it to production that is.

The French and South Koreans figured out how to store ammo in a bustle behind the turret. The Ukrainians even adapted a bustle autoloader to the Soviet turret design. It does make the tank a bigger target but it gives the tank crews a chance to survive.

The methane admissions from three soldiers who have been eating Russian MREs since early December doesn’t help.

If there's a bustle in your hedge row, don't be alarmed now?

The Pentagon has just stated that the Ukrainian Air Force has been provided with Additional Aircraft Parts and Equipment to help them get Combat Aircraft in the air quicker, though so far No Whole Aircrafts have been provided by any Country however negotiations are still ongoing.

From The Pentagon press statement they make it sound like Disassembled Aircraft may have possibly been provided as well as the Part, but no Entire-Built Airframes have been as of yet.

Well I guess that is one way for the west to get the Migs to Ukraine. Of course the west would have more plausible deniability if we didn't announce during a Pentagon press briefing and put it on Twitter.

Looks like Russia has learned nothing from the first 7 weeks of the war.

The reporting on the pentagon briefing made it sound like they were getting full aircraft as well as parts.

leader is a puppet

It’s not clear who he’s a puppet of. If he’s a puppet of the US/West, which has an pro-Israel bias in the global game, than the Jewish dude getting elected should placate Putin in his desire to “denazifi” Ukraine.

If he’s a puppet of Russia/the East, than Russia doesn’t invade.

It seems far more likely that the axis of this war has nothing to do with Nazi ideology, and has more to do with re-establishing Soviet era defense strategy, which was to ensure a ring of puppet states around mother Russia to keep Moscow safe.

Putin and Russian political and cultural elites don't see the Ukrainian state as legitimate, and Putin has stated this repeatedly. This war was about obliterating the Ukrainian state. When they couldn't accomplish that, it became about lopping off as much territory as they can an coming after the rest later.

Yes they are getting Gripens from Sweden. Ukraine just has to assemble them in their home country like every other Swedish export.

Ah, nice. And if they get them quick, they won't be coming from NATO.
