Been twice, assume you mean Vancouver, BC and not Washington. The most recent was 2017 at the end of an Alaska cruise.

Must do
- drive to Whistler, the drive is great and Whistle is too.
- Visit Vancouver Island including Butchart Gardens. We didn't do this because I didn't plan very well.
- Stanley Park. We took the circulator bus there. If you do that don't get lost or you may do a lot more walking than you want to find a bus stop.
- We stayed in a hotel on Hornby, not far from where the cruise ships dock. It was about a 1/2 mile to the Gastown area; lot of shops and restaurants there.

We flew out about 6:00 am and left the hotel about 4:00. As we were getting in the cab I noticed a group of people, all very well dressed, leaving the place next to the hotel. Found out it is Brandi's Exotic Show Lounge; Vancouver's Legendary Strip Club. I guess that could go either way - a must do or a don't.

Second trip to whistler but would take the Mountaineer train. Take day trip to Victoria Island on the ferry. Both are good day trips. I can't remember the name of the open air market or gardens but both are worth a look.

I have been

The Sutton Place is a nice hotel in an excellent location.

If the weather is nice, spend time walking around Stanley Park. We also went to Granville Island.

We spent a week before an Alaskan cruise dividing our time between Vancouver and Victoria which is an easy ferry ride away. Go there if you have a chance.

Lots of people have been there. It is a fairly large city in the Canadian province of British Columbia.

So apparently the airport will randomly covid test international passengers. The place I was staying at can’t check me in if I’m awaiting the results of this test. The results would take 12-72 hours to get back. Bruh this covid shite needs to end

I love Vancouver. All of these suggestions are great. It’s a great pedestrian city. My kids say it was their favorite family vacation. One suggestion I would add is check out the restaurants on Robson Street.

GREAT city.

-Vij's restaurant
-BC ferry to Victoria
-Commons in Vic (great oysters)

PS it's usually cheaper to fly into Seattle and take the train to Van. It follows Puget Sound most of the way.

I am one of them.

Stanley Park, Granville Island, Butchart Gardens are all worth a see.

I had Lunch once up at Horseshoe Bay, near the harbor.

It’s a beautiful drive heading North out of town.

Cool city, lots of Asian folk there.

The beautiful part is from the north of there to Squamish.

How long are you there for? If for a week, I’d do 3 days in Vancouver, 2 in Victoria (rent a car, Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, then Butchart Gardens), and a night at Whistler Village.

Go to Victoria too. Really cool town and they have some whale watching dinners if you go at the right time of the year.

Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria is also pretty cool.

Great city, at least it was when we went there after Banff in July 2016...just didn't get enough time there, think it was two full days bookended by travel days.

We stayed in Yaletown, which has a ton of bars/restaurants within walking distance...it was a great home base.

Stanley Park is a must, we booked a bike tour which was a nice way to explore. We finished the ride along Beach Drive near English Bay and had a nice beachfront meal at the Cactus Club Cafe.

Granville Island is a bit touristy but has a nice market and a brewery which we toured before taking one of the little boats to Olympic Village (ended up at CRAFT Beer Market False Creek).

If you're into Indian food, Vij's is excellent...may need a reservation.

From there we took the Amtrak Cascades down to Seattle which was a great experience. Parts of the route are six feet from the Pacific, which made for a nice sunset ride. (That may not be an option but I figure I'd put it up for consideration.)
