Instead we took Fatman and the inferior Canadian.

It’s crazy to consider we passed on the opportunity to draft Bane to overpay for Steven Adams. Then we had to attach picks to dump Adams and Bledsoe and now Memphis has Adams and Bane.

But but but late first rounders are throw away picks and not worth anything - majority of Pels talk after the Adam trade…..

But two top 4 first round picks are a worthless... some random Pels talk poster.

Can’t argue with that. I said a few times we should have traded up some once Maxey kept falling. Had a ton of posters on here that wanted Maxey or Bey with that 2nd pick. Remember a couple that mentioned Bane even. Crazy how casual fans can see talent but our front office can’t….

I mean this is still true, even though the team we just played had some outlier picks.

Nobody says THOSE picks are worthless, they would just be incredibly difficult to receive. PLUS, it would be very costly to try.

Can't think like that man, if Memphis is on the clock at #1 they are 150% taking zion as well. Thats the NBA draft for you

Zion has done nothing but break historic records when he’s been on the court. It sucks that he hasnt been available, but 30 out of 30 teams take him at 1.

Also, Hayes is at least comparable to Clarke at this point in their careers, even though he started slower

The majority of PT did not like the Adams trade.

Eh, not sure on that.

Like with Graham, there was a ton of unearned hyperbole about the move and aggressive attacking of the few of us that didn’t like it.

I still remember one poster vehemently arguing Adams was a top 5 big man

Yeah I came out against the Adams trade and got slaughtered. It was fairly obvious at the time why he was a bad fit for that roster construction.

It’s pretty sad to see the amount of guys we could’ve had and what we ended up with. I won’t even count Zion because no GM in basketball wouldn’t have taken him 1.1 at the time. Hunter was a perfect fit to pair with Zion in that draft, Garland was a really attractive prospect, we end up with Hayes and NAW. The next year Saddiq Bey was the combo forward redemption for the miss on Hunter, Bane was there with our second pick, we get Kira and trade for Adams. Last year we could’ve gotten Duarte, we end up with Murphy.

Garland? Sure. Dude is unreal.

Hunter? Jury is still VERY out on him. He's injured almost as much as fat arse.

Still way too early to call this one a miss.

Culver was still very much a possibility and knowing Griff’s track record of whiffing on picks, he would have picked Culver instead of Garland and Hunter. That’s an even darker world than taking NAW and Hayes
