Tebow shrugs it off, says he is a competitor and thinks RJF didn't mean it the way it was perceived. Said that it just helps fire him up. Joked UF has a good medical staff.

CFL hosts says it was immature and RJF meant what he said the first time; commented LSU PR folks cleaned it up (which is probably true).

Then some from the viewers on talking points.

i like Tim Tebow, I just dont like that he plays for the gators... I hope he gets knocked out of the game but I hope that about any QB that plays against LSU. Apart from playing LSU, I Hope Tebow puts up monster numbers against every other team.

those first 5 games last year were awesome. nothing dirty with the hits. just hard hits. i hope the D can do that to tebow.

i agree. there is nothing wrong with hard hitting football. When a player goes for a knee looking to end a career they deserve to have their own career ended. RJF isnt planning on doing that. But if they meet head to head, I dont see either giving up lightly.

+1

What's not to like about the guy, other than he plays for the Gators? He's awesome, he plays with heart...we'd love him if he played for us.

He took the cell phone thing even better than expected last year, and he was already quoted today on espn.com as saying something along the lines of..."I don't think he meant it the way they're making it sound." Seems like a class guy.

ETA: Here's the quote..."I'm a competitor, so I think he wasn't meaning it like a lot of people took it," Tebow said, according to the Palm Beach Post.

while probably all of LSU's players and Florida's players partied hard over spring break, Tebow spent time at his dads orphanage.... and preaching the gospel in prisons.... he makes it hard to hate him.

can you like him off the field but hate him on the field? Since when did it become acceptable to like our enemies?

i dont like that he plays for florida, especially when we play florida, but when he isnt playing us I dont wish the guy to perform poorly, he is too good of a person to not succeed. He works hard and deserves to perform well

I don't cheer for him to run over our D...I cheer for our D to run over him! But I DON'T pray he hurts his knee or something like that either...

I just think that he is a remarkable student athlete...and it's refreshing to see a guy like Tebow in the spot light for once in CFB... considering some of the others pushed in our face in the past, and the present for that matter.

I hope that LSU shuts him down!!!! and I will cheer for every sack and hard hit on him very loudly, because that is how much respect I have for him as an athlete...he is a remarkable athlete and can really do a number to our D.. As a student athlete I think he is an example and hope he succeeds in life in whatever he pursues ...this goes for many other student athletes as well...such as Charles Scott!!

First of all I'm bored.

Second I'm just sick of hearing about RJF's comments, reaction to RJF's comments, what RJF really meant to say, did he actually say it, will it make a difference in the game,

ESPN is E Entertainment News, we deserve better.

This sums up what I think of him, like what many others have said. Especially the one that said I don't like that he plays for FLA.
