Did you get a new meter installed where they set it to rape?

Yes mine was $120 more than the previous month. Is it a mistake?

Looks like my gas charges were 35% higher this month compared to last month. All other chargers were much lower than the previous month.

The Entergy defenders will be along soon to tell you how wonderful the company is and it's all the fault of LaToya.

My Entergy bill was much higher this month. I can't recall a winter month where it was ever close to this high. From the tiny bit of information provided, it looks like Entergy's cost to buy/produce power went through the roof, so they passed that cost along to us.

I guess high oil prices or something.

Our usage did not change much.

Search for my thread on High Energy Bills.

It's not just Entergy, it's all utilities that use natural gas.

Checking in. Well over $400 this month was ~$260 last month.

I never had a single bill over $250 until last year when this price raising started.

What’s your meter reading?
How many kWh were used last month?

I would normally say so, but it has been cold. I have been adjusting to living in an elevated house with wooden floors for the first time, and I am still waiting on some roof repairs before fixing some ceiling areas. Insulation is limited in some areas. So my electric heater has been running crazy. The Entergy’s App is telling me that if the heater is running it is using 10 kWH of electricity. Which comes out to about 1 dollar an hour of costs. But when it is not running, I can see the number drop to 1 kWH and spend than 5-15 cents per kWH.

Yes. Against my wishes, fearing something like this may happen.

Have you been complaining about Brothers or RaceTrac ripping you off when you’ve filled up your car or truck at the pump lately?

Ours is exactly like this. We also have a gas fireplace, I have no clue why it jumped from $200 to $400 this month.

How long do you wait for the hot water to come through in the morning?

We had the same thing happen, and the response that we received was that Entergy would come out to read our meter. Apparently the bill was based on an estimate of our usage and not a reading of the meter.
