Technically, but let’s be real. Many kids aren’t entering the portal unless they know their is a spot available at their preferred destination.

Numbers are saying this isn't correct.

Smart ones maybe, yes

The SEC West best conference division in college football. Need I say more if he wants the best competition to climb the NFL draft ladder. I think we have a great shot of getting him. GEAUX TIGERS !!

If he wants a shot at the pros, Boston College would be a dead end. Now if he wants a graduate degree, maybe BC is the right fit?

With 8 catches in his career, I am betting getting a graduate degree is the best path

Understood. I saw something that said he was a South Bend kid.
I stand corrected.

Shae is right more often than not. He’s super conservative when he puts out material, so when he releases info it’s usually fact checked multiple times.

I pretty much can’t stand Shea after paying for a 247 sub for a while. People on here will defend him because he seems like a nice guy, but he basically uses the same writing techniques a psychic or fortune teller would use. His “job” is to put out vague but seemingly concrete info on extremely fluid situations where 18 year olds haven’t made up their minds yet and some may not know where they’re going until signing day. Every writer in their industry does the same thing - educated guess, claim it’s from sources, put out bits and pieces of content to keep people hooked, take a guess a few days before the kids sign and make excuses when they’re wrong.

The entire recruiting industry is a scam and complete shite. I get better info from my high school cousin than these “professionals”

It’s crazy to me how much you are all dismissing the obvious. This kid’s position coach went to BC. As much as everyone is NIL-crazy right now, relationships are still one of the most important elements in sports. They determine who gets to the final stretch with a guy in recruiting. They determine if players stay where they are or leave. It looks like they are the leading factor here, too.

Players up and follow their coaches, head, coordinator, or position coaches elsewhere all the time. The portal just makes it a lot easier and less costly than it used to be. No one should be surprised that’s Takacs is interested in BC, even though LSU is obviously the better program, because players are almost always closer to their position coaches than the head coach. Even if he liked Kelly, he’s going to be more apt to follow his position coach if he had a good relationship with him. And it’s not like BC sucks. They aren’t spectacular, but Hafley is an underrated head coach and has them on solid ground.

Come on, now. None of these guys are getting "facts". Even info they get from recruits is "fluid".

Other than where guys visit and camp, there are very few verifiable facts when it comes to recruiting.

Cotizen was going to UF until miami called him day of and offered him up front money for an NIL deal. I think he got like 50-100k upfront. Day of signing or like night before

That's what i heard.

He even told a florida coach he was coming.

Miami came over the top last minute and offered 150k

These nil deals are going to be yearly. Will be a bunch of transfers when money isn't paid as promised.

I don’t know who all here could check that box, but those that do, we all have back pain.

Like I said a few days ago, you’re not emotionally equipped to follow recruiting.

Accidental down vote…my back does hurt. I remember watching it because i hated Miami with a visceral white hot passion back then.

Alright. Post a picture of yourself so we can see how stoic and badass you are, or shut the frick up people who need to pretend to be cool on TD have shite lives IRL and overcompensate by playing a character here. You’re a weird guy

ETA: I’ve also noticed that you spend an abnormal amount of time defending Shea anytime someone brings him up. You also responded to me the first time I made a comment about 247 and it bothered you enough to remember it months later, when you responded again with a random personal attack. Pretty interesting

You’re getting caught up with the word choice there. The spirit of the statement is that they check multiple times with different sources that the same story is lining up. Can they story be wrong? Sure. And I understand that. But he is one that doesn’t take the first rumor and run with it.
