Alabama isn’t LSU. They are not hiring a Les Miles or Orgeron. They will get the best available and continue to win. That program is rock solid

To be honest, I'll be pretty disappointed if the Tigers don't make it to Omaha (and if they do, I'll be disappointed if they don't win it all). I'm really excited about the offense, especially.

Something to be said they've had Bear & Saban, two best CFB in history.

You'll get downvoted but I agree. They don't deserve the success.

Ummm, they had a run of guys worse than either Miles or O

Price, Shula, Franchionne, Dubose and tried to hire RR.

Maybe the amount of flak you’re taking from LSU fans on this subject should tell you something. Self-awareness is a wonderful thing.

Your comments about Bama’s history prior to Saban come off as pretty ignorant for two reasons:

1. Go look at LSU’s history prior to Saban. He built the foundation that allowed Les Miles and Ed Orgeron to win national titles here.

2. It’s like you think college football started in 2000. Yeah, they had a rough few years under Shula. In the 90’s they won a national title, two conference titles, and four western division titles.

So yeah, they’ll probably take a step back when Saban retires. That’s what happens when you lose the greatest coach in the history of college football. But there’s absolutely no reason to just write them off. Maybe they make a good hire, maybe they don’t. But either way the framework will be there. I doubt Saban will leave Bama in worse shape than Orgeron left LSU.

I'll save him some time, since the ap poll (1936) all but one championship was under Bryant and Saban.

So 12 championships (since the AP poll, not counting years they weren’t #1 in the AP) under 3 coaches compared to 4 championships under 4 coaches?

I think the point still stands.

yep, lots of championships under probably the 2 CFB goats, and one under all their other coaches. So, as long as they have an all-time great head coach, they are golden.

So you’re punishing them for having coaches that stayed a long time? Bryant was there 25 years Saban is going into year 17. The coaches in between in 25 years had a total of 4 losing seasons. We had 8 in an 11 year stretch. If you think they are going away after Saban leaves that sound like wishful thinking

I’m as big an LSU fan and Bama hater as anyone, but this is an ignorant statement. I would bet my house that anyone who agrees with this statement is under 30 years old.

The massive difference between the two schools is the offensive and defensive line play. Nothing more nothing less.
