Just a reminder for all the Will Wade haters

Of how bad things were and what the norm was at LSU before Wade arrived. Yes this team is struggling right now, but he has changed the narrative of the program. Things could be a hell of a lot worse.

True- WW is better than TJ and JJ- but that’s a pretty low bar. Right now WW is mediocre at best and showing no signs of improving as a coach. Not to mention he has potentially gotten caught breaking some serious rules to recruit the players he has, potentially putting this program into serious trouble. So the upside is definitely hard to see.

Wow, he’s better than those two? Has done about the same in the postseason. Overrated

“I love the Independence Bowl. I remember the Curley Hallman years when we didn’t go to bowl games at all”

Not even close to “about the same in the postseason”

Fans completely forgot about the Adam Miller injury I take it.

These fans would have wanted Bruce Pearl and Calipari fired last year

How has Will Wade won first round games twice, when he only has 1 NCAA Trny win on the bench at LSU? So yeah, he has performed about the same in the NCAA Trny, but I'll give you he has brought in more talent that enables us to get there more often. He just doesn't do anything once there. Brady might not have went a lot, but when he did, he had some success.

Only a moron wouldnt give him credit for the 2 ncaa tourney wins in 2018 against Yale and Maryland

Love all this data trying to prove how great he's been. To be clear though - NO ONE is arguing that he's worse than Jones or Johnson. That's a stupid argument and you guys look silly by keeping to go back to it.
Here's some meaningful data:
Since the 2019 season - which was awesome - LSU's SEC record has gotten worse every year; and 2022 looks like the regression will continue.
That same 2019 season was Wade's lowest rated recruiting class at 32nd. The average ranking of all his other classes is between 7-8.
People calling for his firing are wrong. But ignoring the disparity between talent and results and ignoring the steady decline in SEC wins is also wrong. He has got to get his ego in check and either find a better staff or allow his current staff (if they are competent) to have more input.

Comparing JJ and WW is your barometer for success….or lacktherof?
lulz no wonder people call our fan base delusional

Oh things are bad now, other teams just felt bad for Wade earlier this season now reality set in. He just can't seem to get his team to learn the game and win

Hypothetical: the prior coaches went winless and finished 0-28 for several years. Then the new coach came in and went 7-21 for several years.
Would you argue that we should keep the new coach because he's much better than his predecessors?

Fans with short memories. It was injuries to Brady's last team that lit the fire for his removal. The next season, when the team was healthy, Johnson won the SEC Championship. It was downhill from there, until Wade was hired.
Posted on 2/6/22 at 9:14 am to atltiger6487
Probably not. But there’s a difference between the old coaches going 0-28 and the new coaches winning the SEC and not missing the tourney since year 1 (this year TBD)

So the record books are moron books I guess.

Why are you so obsessed with just making the tourney? He brings in great talent no one is arguing that. He should be in top 64. It's what he does once there. If he starts making some runs, then I'll give him a lot more credit.

It's still not a good sign when you have to say something like this to defend a coach.
