Because, there are real conspiracy theories and then there are fantasies. Art Bell peddled in fantasy that at times got labeled as conspiracy theory. They were harmless and did not impact peoples' income stream so no one cared.

But if you talk about real world conspiracies, like how pharmaceutical companies literally conspire with the federal government to make profits, that's off limits.

You may or may not recall he got into some shite regarding the Hale-Bopp comet cult Heavens Gate and the groups subsequent mass suicide. Time magazine and a number of other outlets wrote stories that implicated him in spreading false info regarding the supposed UFO that flew alongside the comet. I think their were a couple of other public flare ups regarding his programming here and there but for the most part, everyone knew, including Art that his show was just for entertainment.
I'm mean the guy had an Anti Christ hotline (some of my favorite shows btw) and guest talked about lizard people taking over the earth.

Because Art Bell died in 2018. No one was demonetized or deplatformed before 2018. This is a new form of censorship.

If I remember correctly, Art Bell was the first one to expose thr government and thr conspiracy with thr Branch Dividians. Dude went balls deep exposing the whole thing.
