So what I’m hearing is I should stock up on beer and whiskey?

Doesn't look good. Even if you can get there, the runways/planes will probably have icing issues. I don't think they have enough de-icing equipment to handle all the planes like places such as Denver or Buffalo have.

Both cars are AWD and I'm only a couple of miles from Love so I'm not worried about getting there. Wondering if I'd have a better chance of getting out if I tried to eave from DFW or if I need to move it to Wednesday.

Good luck. I really have no idea exactly what will happen at the airports. Maybe someone who works at an airport or travels regularly in winter can provide info.

Last time there was ice and winters mix, people sat in the airport for at least 24 hours. They just aren’t equipped to maintain the runways well enough for 24 hours of wintry mix.

Feel better! Stay on the advil/Tylenol rotation without skipping to beat the headaches and stay ahead of body aches. I drank gallons on NyQuil just to sleep through he worst of the headaches.

My best guess is icy conditions and if so I would hunker down as area is rather hilly and shaded by tree cover.

Duke, love your posts from weather to travel, you’re good people. But WTF are you doing out of Eagle/Summit county right now? You’re my insider on all things Vail, my family has a couple condos at Vantage Point for what it’s worth. Give it 72 hrs and Omi will be out of your system. BTW, we’re looking at 12”-18” here in BoCoMo, hopefully we won’t have an inch of ice underneath that. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the well wishes yall. If i had any attention span, this would only be mildly annoying.

On the subject of Longview, it looks icy and potentially 1"+ of freezing rain. Milk sammies for days for you girl.

And on the subject of why Im not on CO right now, my wife wanted to come back for the spring. She is questioning the wisdom of that tonight.
