If this isn't a finger to senile Brandon and the West I don't know what is.

The number of warships taking par tis not yet known but the location for the exercise is around 240km off the southwest cost of Ireland in international waters but within Ireland’s maritime economic zone.

Ms Clarke was also quoted as saying that that a lack of primary radar “is the reason other state entities have been probing our airspace for years with high-altitude bombers and escorts. These foreign aircraft can see us but we cannot see them.”

Imagine if the tables were turned and the west was conducting exercises in Russia's maritime economic zone....

Sounds like Ireland needs to get with the program. They are acting like the Kamchatka Peninsula.

That incursion is Irish airspace, not the US. The way the summary is written should point that out.

Russia, The US and Britain have known about this planned live fire exercise for months. Countries just don't show up and start shooting for the fun of it.

At times announcements become a matter of telling commercial shipping to stay away or get shot at by mistake.

Wait, in preparation for invading Ukraine, Putin is...playing around off the coast of Ireland?

This is Russia telling the EU that they're huge pussies.

Russia’s navy is pretty shitty.
I’m surprised they have enough ships to cover Ukraine AND have drills elsewhere.

That's not the point. Exercising in our hemisphere is getting to close to home . . .

Let’s go back to manufacturing things on our continent and fixing our own country’s problems. There’s absolutely no reason we should be fighting multiple simultaneous wars over sees while maintaining the globalist kickback playground. I wish we had politicians with nuts in DC.

End the welfare state. Tariff imports. Invest in manufacturing in Mexico and America and build high speed rails from those factories to supply hubs.

Europe can fight its own battles and we can be trade partners with the victor.

We do it all the time, and have for many decades.

This sounds like an Ireland problem. Not our fault they won't invest in proper radar technology.
