Is CBK coming on too strong with the players?

The McGlothern deal has me a little concerned that Kelly has come in and tried to lay down the law from the get go instead of getting to know the team and earning their respect.

With the immediate transfer rule, you can’t be so heavy-handed even if your goal is to create a more disciplined environment. I’m not saying this is how it should be, but it’s how it is.

I feel like this is what a lot of us were afraid BoB would do. Kelly didn’t recruit these guys, and to come in and try to reverse everything about the O regime in one fell swoop seems unwise.

Hell no. Get with the program or hit the road.

If you're not coachable, then go play at a school that doesn't care.

Why is that?

Lol about the responses I expected.

I’m pretty sure Aranda would’ve been a good deal more diplomatic while still creating a culture of discipline over time.

The “I just got here and it’s my way or the highway” approach is both hubristic and incompatible with the current structure of CFB.

Kelly is doing exactly what he should. Cleaning house. I give O credit for 2019 all the time but it’s apparent the kids he recruited weren’t discipline and couldn’t give a shite about not smoking weed and making the grades. It will be a breathe of fresh air to cheer for the type of kid Kelly will recruit.

Some will get it & some will not. Will be a net positive. The kid is talented, but replaceable. This is not a “put lipstick on the pig” situation BK is walking in to. Ask yourself this question: “would Saban come in & kiss these kids’ asses?”

How do you know for a fact that is the case?

You have NO idea if this is really happening or not.

Take your fanfic elsewhere.

O got way too lax AFTER heading the greatest season in CFB history. He built a strong foundation in 17/18 that led to 19.

If you still had to sit to transfer, a new coach could get away with the drill sergeant model to a greater extent. But with the new rules you’ve honestly just gotta pander and put up with more.
