Seems he was being honest, had covid so was eligible for an exemption but made a mistake on his visa application. So Australia is using that as a gotcha.

You do realize Djokovic could have also just not lied on his documentation, right?
That alone should and likely will uphold this decision.
You can't claim clerical errors when you misrepresent information on those forms.

1) He had a positive covid test conveniently exactly when he needed it to enter without the vaccine.
2) He didn't make a mistake on his visa, he put false information and later claimed "it was an accident".
I am a Djokovic fan, but he tried to game the system and got burned and deservedly so.
