Donated new uniforms and sneakers to one of the wealthiest schools in NOLA. Oh wow! I was wondering how Arch Manning and company could afford jerseys and sneakers.

Those rich kids probably don’t want Zions. Not expensive enough

Don’t get me wrong any community involvement is terrific and should be lauded, although I have to wonder - why Newman. It costs $25,000 per year to send a kid to Newman. Not exactly a team of kids hard up for shoe money.

I mean, it is pretty weird to donate stuff like that to a school that serves the richest of the rich in the metro area. It’s not like he is a newman alum or anything.

Who's to say he hasn't donated to others and they've just kept it quiet?

Either way, it's a New Orleans area school.

I would have to assume literally every high school in the city was donated to if even newman got swag as well lol

His little brother goes to school there and, as a result, is around the program often.

Good job reaching out to the needy Zion. Maybe he can do a fundraiser for Country Day or Jesuit while he's feeling generous.

I like donating to the community, but why Newman? Why not pick a local public school who’s playing in plain white t-shirts with numbers written on the back. And before you laugh, there are schools like this. I’ve seen them play against my son.

Those of us who criticize his conditioning, his game, or his lack of availability are lambasted as know-nothing haters if not worse by his 'stans'. But for those same 'stans', it's open-season on him for how he choses to spend his money. Strange world we live in, isn't it?
