Bought a new rifle today....a Franchi

Anybody have one and if so how do you like it?

I'm sure its a great rifle. I've always heard great things about their shotguns. But to side step. @Greenhead, you reckon the Benelli's are worth the extra money over the Franchi?

Definitely not, if I get another shotgun it will be a Franchi.

I have a Momentum elite varmint in 224 Valkyrie. It shoots some factory ammo sub moa as advertised but has been and uphill battle to get hand loaded 88grn eldm's to group consistent.

The federal 75grn fmj's shoot well and were a fairly easy get and as cheap as 223/5.56 (14 bucks a box)when any ammo was a tough get.
I have 2 rifles chambered in 224 Valkyrie I have taken my AR out to 900yds with the 75's. But it's more consistent at about 750.
I expect to get past 1k once I can get the bolt gun dialed in. The Franchi proprietary magazine is very limited as far as coal but I plan on it being a single feed.

Thanks GH,I have my dad's sbe2 which I love, and is supposed to "be mine" as he doesn't hunt, but he's one of those "I'll hold on to it for you until I go to the nursing home" types. So I decided I'm gonna buy my own but I was noticing the Franchi's and Benelli's were very similar and had heard good things online but don't know anyone who has one.
The rifle sounds sweet though.

A franchi, is a basically a benelli, at the price point a benelli should be at. The Franchi also has the recoil spring in the forearm and not the buttstock which I think is better for a duck gun.

I shoot my benelli better than my franchi. I like both; and I think the franchi is a fine gun. Maybe it is mental, but I always take the benelli. I don’t know if the benelli is worth the extra money; but they hold their value better.

I have both as well. I find that the benelli is more comfortable and the recoil isn’t as bad. The recoil on the Franchi can kick pretty good. I use both but probably use the Benelli more as well. I don’t think the extra $800 is worth it though if you’re buying your first shotgun.

What caliber did you get? I bought the exact same rifle in .308 last month. Gun came in a day after I left to go deer hunting so I didn't get to use it for hunting this year and haven't gotten to shoot it yet. I'm about to buy an optic for it and start my wait on one of those NFA items to go on the end of it. I'll be taking the rifle out to sight it in sometime in late January or early February.
It's a good looking rifle is all I got for now. Definitely curious to hear what you think of it if you get to shoot yours before I get to shoot mine.

Didn't know Franchi made rifles, Im sure it is a fine rifle, they are a good company.

They look similar and I know they're made by Beretta and Benelli people. I have heard great things but I wasn't sure if you were paying 900 if you might as well pay $1600. That sbe2 is awesome, but shoots high and as my devious dad never shot it I haven't had a chance to pattern it. I like how the affinity looks though.
As for their rifles, I was looking at them and they look stout. Seeing some good feedback on them online.

If you dont mind spending the extra money go with the Benelli. It just feels better to me. With that being said shoulder both and see which one you prefer. I really like both shotguns so its just which one I decide to use that hunt. Theyre both fine guns the recoil seems worse on the Franchi though.
Thank yall for telling me about this rifle I went ahead and bought one as well. I had a Meopta scope that I got a good deal on that had been sitting in my safe and needed something to put it on. I went with the 6.5 Creedmore because I already have a couple .308s so I wanted to switch it up.

I shouldered a used Franchi 612 vs earlier and didn't really like it, but I know that is a different gun and this was old and beat up. They had a used a5 mag 12 with engraving that was really pretty and I was considering buying it and one of the classic old men who hang around gun stores saw me shouldering it and asked what it was and I told him and he was like "oh let me call my friend, he's been looking for one forever, I better get it for him." I should have just bought it but it had a synthetic stock put on it, so I wasn't sure how much action it had seen. There are probably more floating around. Rant over.
