frick no. Same answer as I gave for my 14 year old.
They have a greater chance of dying from the flu than covid, especially Omichron.

Because five year olds are in danger of dying or other adverse affects from Covid?
Absolutely not.

I'm fighting the same battle. We have 5 year old twin girls that I have no interest in getting them vaccinated. My wife does not have an opinion and would get them vaccinated if I didn't care. Her mom and sisters that she is very close to are and near militant in their nagging about this trying to convince us get them vaccinated.
I'm not only pretty firm in my feelings about it, but an also an a-hole who has no love loss for any of them with the exception of my wife.

This is none of their business at all and you should tell them to frick off every single time they bring it up.
And OP, absofrickinglutely not.

You should get you fetus's vaccinated. Just requires a longer needle.

The initial round of vaccines does little to prevent omicron and I don’t even think kids are eligible for the booster. So why would you vax them when it won’t prevent them from getting it and their risk of complications from covid is minuscule to begin with? I’m vaxed but not boosted and my 5 year old will not be getting this shot.

No way I’m vaccinating my 8 year old, considering everyone around him has had all 3 shots and most of them tested positive after Christmas. He and I both probably had it but didn’t see the point on getting tested with no symptoms. I think the immune systems of healthy kids are doing just fine against Covid and we’ve known that for a while now.

Damn, I would have thought you were smarter than this.
I will get fired before I will get it and will kill someone before my sin gets it.

You’ve come to the right place for educated, unbiased, and science-driven medical advice. Good thing you didn’t consult your child’s pediatrician.

2 of my grandsons (19 and 13) got Covid at Christmas. They were only sick 2 days.First day they had low grade fever, chills, headache and some coughing and congestion.2nd day no fever, some coughing.3rd day they felt a little “puny”.4th day they were back to normal.Their 8 year old brother didn’t get it at all.None were vaccinated.
It was much less than the flu. They’ve had colds before that were worse.
They’ve all been on Vit D3 and zinc since the beginning. The 19 year old was off at college and forgot to take his D and zinc a couple of weeks,he was 1st one to get it.
