it is uncanny how similar Tomlin's, Payton's, and Harbaugh's careers have been and how they are received by their fanbases.

You’d also have to include an intangible that doesn’t show up in stat lines, which is historical success. Steelers were used to winning before Tomlin. Saints had never won anything before Payton. He has them relevant every year and won a SB.

Tomlin has been very impressive considering he had to deal with head cases like Bell and Brown and kept winning. He’s also holding it together without a QB. They really have no backup plan at QB right now either. Ben may be their only option next year given the weak QB draft class and unlikelihood that Rodgers is leaving GB.

I'm a Steelers fan who comes from a family of black and yellow fans.

If we had it our way he would have been out 4yrw ago.

Y’all should fire him and hire Urban Meyer.

So are you a brown’s or bengal’s fan?

My guess is bengals, because the browns will not win with baker, the (non) championship maker.

Coming from you I'm not shocked.

Tomlin has done less with more talent than any coach in the NFL. Pittsburgh should’ve won several Super Bowls with him. He choked the Super Bowl loss against Green Bay. He’s also the idiot that Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown ruin that team. All facts

Do the Rooney's not still own the team? They really aren't prone to changing coaches on a whim.

Yep. Art II runs it now. He has been pretty much the face of the family for the last 15 years. Even when his dad, Dan(RIP) was still alive but starting to slip health wise.

No, Mendenhall choked it away w/that fumble when we were going in for the winning score.

He kept Brown under control until right before the end of his tenure as a Steeler. Same w/Bell. WTF are you talking about?

The absolute bottom line since he's been Steelers head coach y'all should have one or two more championships. To bad Cowher retired because more than likely more championships happen. He's as overrated as it gets. I remember 4 or 5 yrs ago when Big Ben was getting ticked that there wasn't enough correction in practices after subpar performances. Who's that on?

Stop it. Not even a Steelers fan

3 losing seasons
8-8 season.
Missed playoffs 3/4 times.

1SB and basically same record. Same as Tomlin

I don’t even buy that there is some type of big problem with the Steelers. Roethlisberger was good enough for the franchise that you had to let him to stay a year or two longer than was probably best for the team. The Steelers are an institution. A couple of mediocre years doesn’t change anything. Time to retool and get back at it.

Stop what? All the material he's had Steelers should have 3 rings since he's been there. Basically the Bobby Cox of pro football. Pay attention to the games over the yrs & anyone can see terrible in game coach especially with clock management. Let's see what he can do with his own QB now.

Rodgers had one of the best QB performances in a Super Bowl ever, and Ben didn't.

How is that on Tomlin? lol

Belichick/brady has given you brain worms. Historically 1 ring and a few deep playoff runs is what you can expect a fantastic coach and a franchise QB to give you. There are other good coaches/QBs in the league, they can't ALL win the Superbowl every other year. This Steelers team being anywhere close to the playoffs is astounding.

Sean Payton didn’t take over a team 1 season removed from a Super Bowl.

We're not talking about this year dumb arse with a worn out Hall of Fame QB we're talking about 14yrs as their head coach. Most of those yrs with the best overall talent in the league. Like I said if Cowher stays as head coach there's more than just one championship during that time period & that's guarenteed.

I guess it’s a good thing for the Steelers that the only thing you have your way with is Nymeria.

Certain groups of Steelers fans have wanted Tomlin gone for 10 years now.

Tomlin has the benefit of working for owners who know and understand professional football. If the Rooney's would want him gone, they would have let Tomlin know. My guess is that if he has .500 or better seasons, he gets to pick how and when he leaves
