Aaron Rodgers might boycott Super Bowl over COVID protocols

Via the @BackAftaThis Twitter account, Boomer Esiason shared this morning on his WFAN radio show a text from a source who claims that Rodgers will threaten to boycott the Super Bowl (the Packers would first have to make it, of course) if the NFL doesn’t eliminate some of the COVID protocols. Rodgers particularly doesn’t like the rule that compels testing of asymptomatic players.
Currently, all unvaccinated players (like Rodgers) are tested daily, regardless of symptoms. Rodgers continues to experience a 90-day “testing holiday” after his positive diagnosis in November. His daily testing window reopens two days after the NFC Championship, if the Packers are still alive.
Esiason didn’t name his source. His co-host, Greg Gianotti, asked, “Is it someone we should be trusting with their information?”
“I would, yes,” Esiason said.

Sounds like a bullshite story. Rodgers may not want a vaccine, but if it means missing a Super Bowl, he’d sign up for 2 shots and a booster in a heartbeat.

Some people are unafraid to take a stand for what they believe in, consequences be damned. I believe Aaron Rodgers would absolutely boycott the Super Bowl. Especially with what's happening in tennis.

We shall see, I guess. But I doubt he’d boycott a game he’s been waiting 11 years to return to simply because of the testing requirement.

No he won't, but he may just grandstand about almost doing it after the Bucs eliminate them again.

Boomer had an almost full on meltdown over Antonio Brown the other day, not really about the walk off but more so the fake vaccination card.

Rodgers turning from heel to face in such a short time period is so fricking awesome to me.

If you would have told me last year that I would become an Aaron Rodgers fan in 2022, I would have laughed in your face.

Are we all pretending GB won't lose in the NFCCG again

I have to admit I would laugh my arse off if he got the Packers to the Super Bowl and then just walked out into retirement the week before the game.

That would be the most Aaron Rodgers thing of all time.

Regardless of what you think about the vaccine, Rodgers would win the award of worst teammate of all time if he did this
