They are trying to create a successful league not destroy it before it gets started.

This is like the 10th start up league whose attempted to just kind of clone the league and use old washed up coached to “legitimize” their league and its failed immediately every time

The one league who really tried to make something different (Arena league) ended up with a pretty good 10 plus year run that possibly could’ve been longer with more competent management

But hey good luck watching worse players running offenses out of the 1980s. Im sure it’ll end differently this time

Another pro football league is a fools errand either way, I just wish people atleast gave it a real swing

Spurrier, Jim Mora and Marv Levy should be honorary coaches.

How did I miss that the Breakers are back in New Orleans? Anyone know anything about this? Will this really happen? Where will they play, who is the coach? Nothing but sketchy info online

frick this Tampa Bay and Philadelphia stuff. If they're all going to play in Birmingham, call em the Hoover Generals, Trussville Stars, Gate City Gamblers...

WTH is Chizik doing?

Has a nice settlement from Auburn,I'm assuming a nice paycheck from the SECN and real estate and other business interest on the side.

Must be getting a very nice paycheck from the USFL.Better make sure it's guaranteed and at least half in a signing bonus.

Maybe Gene just likes coaching, and this will be a low-pressure situation.

Because coaching pro or college is a soul sucking grind and being rich is precise reason not to coach.

Then why aren't more coaches retiring? Every P5 coach, and assistant coach are millionaires, but they are still coaching.
