I think we've been focused on the wrong offense...

If this is indeed Brian Kelly's offense why are we solely looking at what happened in Cincinnati game when the ND vs okie st is more like what we'll see? I assume they're still running Kelly's scheme.

Kelly’s scheme, yes. But without Kelly’s game planning and preparation.

I love what they do with a stud TE. Hope Kelly keeps that going here.

I seriously feel like we’re gonna run Cincinnati’s Offense. There’s no way Denbrock would leave a place where he had full control to come here and run what BK wants. I get they’re familiar with each other from previous teams but I don’t see us running ND Offense.

Kelly will go after the first good tight end from the portal.

But we can say the same about the Bama vs Cinci game.

It’s cool to have a stud TE but I don’t wanna see him deploy that 3 te bs he pulled a couple years ago in the Semifinal game!

Kelly is installing his offense. End of story.
Of course he will take advantage of our material, but Kelly is the boss.

Bech isn't a true tight end. I'm talking about someone who can block just as well as they can catch the ball.

That's important in the offense they like to run. You want a te you can keep on the field in any situation.

Can’t compare. The athletes LSU has across the board is what matters. The offensive success is dictated by personnel.

I think we are going to see a lot of 11 personnel, which is what we ran a ton of down the stretch in 2019. If we can get a stud TE with versatility in the portal and Emery eligible, then that package would be very effective.

It would be sort of a hybrid of what Kelly ran at Cincy and his more recent offenses at ND. I think that and 12 sets with Bech playing a hybrid 2nd TE role will be staples. It could drive defenses crazy with potential mismatches.

Yeah it's what most good teams run.

It will he nice to have someone who knows what they are doing.
