I heard from a doctor that Ochsner is considering changing protocols so that staff with Omicron can still work. This is second hand scuttlebutt, so it might not be true.

CDC just changed recommendations to 7 days quarantine from 10 days pending asymptomatic and negative antigen test on 7th day for healthcare workers

So…do they actually have tests that tell you what variant you have and they are accurate with that information?

Serious question

Several hospitals had been telling their employees to show up unless they were showing symptoms.

That’s because CDC changed guidelines on the 23rd to allow it in certain circumstances.

Nonsense, c on z just said in another thread that Omicron is serious and shouldn't be taken lightly.

No way doctors know more than him.

No, they don’t tell you what variant you have
They take a certain # of positive tests & do further testing & determine the majority variant
They then extrapolate that data for a region…
That’s how I understand it works, could be wrong

That’s some shite….fire your unvaxxed employees then when vaxxed employees test positive say you have a staffing shortage & per the CDC they are allowed to work

So what happens when one of these positive nurses gives a cancer patient Covid & it kills them?

Makes sense. Omicron is nothing but the sniffles. Did they ever ban people with the sniffles from coming to work?
