Nice. I considered the Hel, but decided to go with the separate dac and amp. The Hel is a great choice especially if you need something more mobile to use with different setups.
I've used several good gaming headsets in the past. I was really surprised how much of a difference good headphones with an amp makes especially with music.

I am a huge Astro A50s fan except for the docking station.

For console, Phillips SHP9500 w/ VModa Boompro. Everyone I've put on this has loved it. Steelseries also makes some great cans.
On PC, I run a GoXLR Mini with Sennheiser HD 58Xs and a Shure SM7B.

Drunkenly bought a PS5 headset.
I love the PS5 headset. Wireless is great, don’t know about the sound, since I’ve never had anything nicer and usually play drunk

I recently got the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II Gaming headset. It's basically a Quiet Comfort 35 II headset that includes a USB volume knob and a boom mic. The mic attaches to the left ear cup using a 2.5 MM jack and has a standard 3.5 MM jack that can be plugged into a laptop or into the volume knob which pretty much converts it to a USB headset allowing you to extend the battery life as opposed to using BT. Which is nice if you like using noise cancelling. Sound quality from the boom mic or the microphones on the headset itself using it wirelessly is pretty good according to people on Discord at least. It also has an inline mute switch and the volume knob has a button if you prefer to hear yourself talk over the mic in three different volume levels or not. The 3.5 MM jack on the boom mic attachment can also be plugged in directly to any 3.5 MM audio output so it can be used for consoles too.
The active noise cancelling is excellent as yesterday I was able to listen to my shitty Spotify playlist while running a vacuum cleaner and not hear the vacuum cleaner. I have it paired with my PC, phone, and tablet but only two devices can be connected to them at the same time. There is an assistant button that can be used for whatever personal assistant you use if you're into that kind of thing.
So far it's been great compared to the various wired and wireless PC gaming headsets I've used as well as being a lot more practical. Right now it's $229 from Bose directly. Some may say the price tag is a bit steep but then again you have high end gaming headsets that cost that much but also look uglier and in some cases you can't pair via Bluetooth.
The only issue I've had with them in the few months I've owned them was at one point audio via Bluetooth on my PC would stutter. However a recent firmware upgrade seemed to have fixed that. Also the USB volume knob only adjusts the audio for the USB audio if you use it that way. Switch to your speakers or to BT audio or any other output and nope, it's just a useless knob at that point.

I just got this setup. I need to grab an independent mic. Any recommendations? Don’t need a Shure 7MB. Just gaming here.

Some turtle beach recon. Decent but in the market for a more sensitive sound that picks up footsteps better for FPS

I just bought these for my PS4. They aren't wireless but they plug up right into my dual shock controller. They're nice. Also definitely one of the cheapest ones. Had great reviews.

I run this on PC. I thought this was your PC suggestion? Love it... the VModa Boompro is awesome.
