I wasn’t a fan of them, but will give credit where it is due for being innovative.

As such, where can LSU jump into the mix without having to put money into new lighting etc.

My take...drones.

It would be kind of handy to have some cool designs in a drone show

Additionally, the university could have that as a class (it’s not like the tech is going away).

Some examples:

We need a new sound system IMO or more speakers at least

So we can hear the shitty music louder?

Rather just give more money to the band

You folks worry about the most ridiculous things. I don’t want a player whose only reason for choosing us or another school is a light show. Another thing, I think the tipping point is coming with NIL and transfer portal where schools will not be able to spend all this discretionary money on bullshite like this to keep these kids happy. They are employees now.

Totally agree. The loud speaker music makes the game seem like some crappy arena league venue. Why not have a Mascot shoot crappy t-shirts into the crowd while we are at it?

There’s a massive value added to the university by having drone swarming technology expertise and classes. Showcasing that knowledge at football games would be a great secondary benefit.

I cannot understand the announcer in Tiger Stadium (south end zone) or in the PMAC. The speaker system sucks in each.

I agree with eliminating the piped in music, except for Calling Baton Rouge or similar.

Who needs light shows? Is a good game not enough? As Maximus says in Gladiator, “Are you not entertained?” Extra entertainment beyond the traditional band is needed only for those of feeble mind.

I used to agree. However, when they played California Love with the light show at the Rose Bowl, that place came alive for the 1st time all game. Those fans were into it for the 4th quarter.

Couldn’t agree more. I can’t help but think since Facebook started, a good share of the crowd is at Tiger Stadium to take pics of them tailgating and at the first half of the game. Then leave to not bring too interested in the game. So LSU will have to find a way to entertain them. When I was a student, I really didn’t pay attention to the band once the game started. I was locked in on action.

I’m not even close to being a boomer but I can tell you this…LSU games are becoming Chicago Cub venues. You are there to be seen, (post 50 pics on facebook) bail on the game 3/4 in and need entertainment besides the football game. Not all people, even ones attending LSU want a cirque de soleil show.

The bailing out in the 3rd and 4th quarters has been a thing for well over a decade. Since then, LSU has put in electronic panels for scores and info, two more video screens, WiFi boosters, piped in tons of typical hype music, the band has put on some of its best marching shows ever, fireworks before games and sometimes after scores, dance cams, kiss cams, screen games, people can upload their tailgate pics onto the big screens in Tiger Stadium, beer is available, and whether you young clowns realize it, or not, there is a better food selection than they have ever had… and it hasn’t stopped the early migrations out of TS.

Truth is, stop bringing your airhead bitch girlfriends dressed like street whores to games, they are the ones dragging men out of the gates.

Saturdays should be for the boys anyfrickingway

Different times. If That’s what so called fans want…. So be it. Those close scoring Football games get boring anyway.

Ok so please explain why buying drones and paying people to operate them would be cheaper than installing lights.

Tiger Stadium does need new lights, but these light shows look like an EDM concert where everyone is tripping on acid
