Normally I would blame the restaurant for oversight, but it is insanely difficult to procure items right now for an extensive menu. Many of the large scale national suppliers and manufacturers are getting hit hard with supply issues, labor, and transit. If you can’t see that, you’re neither the brightest nor sharpest crayon in the box.

Also, simple items such as packaging are being hit hard and increasing in price at an alarming rate.

I went to a place supposedly well-known in the area for breakfast and brunch. You have to make a reservation and they will charge you a fee for missing your timeslot.

They had no milk. WTF?

It a crazy one, but when that Tilted Kilt place in Gonzales was fairly new I went there for lunch and to watch LSU baseball (regional or CWS).
So it’s like 11:30 and they are out of fried and wings.
Someone Thursday or early Friday should have taken their asses to Sams or something and gotten some fries.

Burger King on Pinhook tried to tell me they were out of nuggets once but there were about 6 live chickens running around right near the drive thru speaker.

I said, “well y’all just not trying now” and pointed to the drive thru speaker.

Daphne, Alabama Whataburger in August. We went for lunch and they were out of almost everything. No fries, no onion rings. I think the only side they had were apple slices. They only had one size of cup. I think they may have even been out of cheese for the burgers.

I pulled up to a Popeyes once that was out of everything except biscuits, dirty rice, and coleslaw.

Back when I was in school there was a church's chicken near my house. went by one day after class to grab lunch and these fools were out of chicken entirely. This was at like 11 am. I asked how you run out of the one thing that your brand relies on. She didn't have an answer.

Stopped at a McDonalds one night after work, and was told they were out of patties and buns.

What's the two items you order EVERY damn day?

Patties and buns.

The one time my folks took us to the Rusty Pelican in Long Beach, MS, someone left to go get groceries as soon as we started ordering. I don't think they had a damned thing to eat in there. Dude came back with extremely basic shite like a loaf of bread and lettuce.

Once went to a Dunkin Donuts at 6:30 am, and they were out of… donuts. Apparently the night crew who makes them no-showed.

For the record, every supplier has shortages right now and brands can't just "go across the street" bc of brand standards that don't allow you (by contract)to get it from another place. Legally speaking.

Years ago, went thru KFC drive thru on a Saturday evening when I was informed that they were out of chicken.

This was before they had tenders, bowls, sandwiches, etc. on the menu. It was just chicken and sides...and they were out of chicken.

Why were they still open? No one wants just their sides.

The next time I went thru their drive thru, I ordered a hamburger. "Sir, we don't have hamburgers here". "Well, last time I was here, you didn't have chicken either"

Employees. Went to Taco Bell on Airline and McDonalds on Clearview a few years ago and they didn't have the staff to run the place. This was obviously before Covid.

I stopped in my local Dunkin Donuts yesterday, and they had about 8 empty racks, and a handful of donuts I don't like. How the hell can Dunkin Donuts be out of old-fashioned donuts?
