Do you? How much time do you spend listening to podcasts? What's your favorite topic? Who's your fave podcaster? What makes a good podcast?

More questions: Have you ever been on either end of a podcast - interview-er or interview-ee? How have podcasts influenced your life? Do we dedicate less time to television lately and more time to podcasts? Do you listen to podcasts because they align with your thinking? Do you listen in hopes of learning new things?

I listen to podcasts from 8-4 pretty much every work day while I'm not in meetings.

I definitely listen to music a lot less due to podcasts.

Some popular morning sports radio show here in Birmingham area went to podcast/ YouTube from their old FM radio station.
I'm curious how many followers they still have.
When I go through all the trouble ( I know it's not really that much trouble, it's just not as easy as pushing a preprogrammed button on the radio dial in the car) when I finally get to their show, it's laden with at least 40% airtime dedicated to ads.

I listen to them when I’m working out in my garage or if I’m driving somewhere that takes at least 30 minutes.

I like the Huberman Lab, Rich Roll, and occasionally the Tim Ferris show.

When I am working from home, I mostly listen to music. When I am on the road for work, I mainly listen to podcasts.

Never hosted one or been an interviewer but have been a guest on one (triathlon related) to discuss a couple of races I did.

I'm a big fan of "Revisionist History" with Malcolm Gladwell. He's the best storyteller I've ever heard. That said, he's a bit left-leaning at times but it's tolerable. His audiobooks are the tits - he narrates his own stuff.

I listen to Table Talk with Dave Tate, the Jocko Podcast and various JRE podcasts that I find interesting. Those are my main 3, and I’ll listen to various ones that I may find interesting. Jordan Peterson has found his way into my queue.

I’m into strength sports, hence why I listen to Table Talk. Jocko talks a lot about leadership and accountability. I listen to Rogan for fun, and I like Peterson because I think he’s a very smart man with a wealth of knowledge. It’s hard to have conversations with people about anything deep, so I use podcasts as a way to learn and listen to other people’s perspective.

I like them for a longer drive or if I am in the car for a while and the local sports radio is boring. I like when Rogan talks about random shite or history type stuff. Even if its outlandish theories its still interesting. I am not a fan of the constant covid talk.

These are my most recent. I like hearing the gritty truth about stuff from history or the news and not just the watered down version. I like the podcasts that are set up like miniseries and cover a specific topic; I’m not really a fan of the daily/weekly shows that feel more like recorded radio shows or continue along the same topic each episode and have no beginning-middle-end to their production.

If you’ve watched the HBO series Chernobyl then you should also listen to the podcast done by the show’s producers.

Same. I like educated, thought provoking podcasts. Feel like I’m more productive in my life and work as a result.
Jocko is one of my favorites. Of course the OG Rogan and well

10-4 on this. When they get too predictable, that's when I check out.

Listen to them while driving (never really listen to music anymore). Also mowing the lawn and similar type chores.

Topics include: space, history and fictional/humorous.

Get a library card and download Libby. There’s 1000s of audiobooks available online for free. You can also find history and college lectures through an affiliate.

I listen to 2-3 books a month just on my commutes to work.

I've been on a couple of homebrew podcasts and a few hunting podcasts.

The next round. I wonder how well they are doing but I like the new format. You can do live video chat room and they often comment on what you’re saying.

Plus they cuss and have great guests
