I mean, they are going against a narcissist who doesn't need them any longer and has extracted everything she requires for the next step in her career.

Not a member of Thoth but I know/knew several members and they always talked about the Children’s Hospital and what it meant to parade there. As someone else mentioned maybe they can do a walking parade in front of the hospital for the children. They typically do a walking parade with a few small push floats down Bourbon a few weeks before their parade. Hopefully they can do something similar for the kids.

Part of a walking club in Thoth and going from Childrens to St Stephens is really the best part of the parade.

My biggest gripe is that removing the Magazine stretch alienates a hell of alot of people who liked not being packed in like sardines behind barricades and rows of ladders. So now Teedy is going to force a few 1000 more people to pack from Fat Harrys to 8th.

They are cutting the St Charles Gallier Hall portion of the route? If the reasoning is a police shortage then why cut the only portion of the route that Endymion has in common with Iris and Toth that ride that day? The police will be stationed there anyway.

Endymion will pay to have more JPSO and other LEOs on hand, but moving the route up to Loyola I guess makes sense so that the city can open up more of the area between route and the river to lessen traffic. It doesn’t make total sense because either way they’ve gotta cross from Canal to Poydras to get back to the dome.

The problem is there a lot of parish residents who think she’s doing a good job protecting them and Covid will be her security blanket for reasons why not to call her a failure.

Thoth already does that 2 Wednesdays before they parade. But let’s be honest a group of 100 riders walking from institute to institute limited in throws they can carry and distribute isn’t the same as having 2000 members on floats raining throws down on you. The Bourbon St. march you speak of (the King’s Caravan) is completely different in substance and, btw has been moved to the Warehouse Distrct.

Thoth pararades Sunday, Endymion and Iris Saturday.

I just heard the initial plan was to start at Napoleon and St. Charles and this was the compromise

That’s not much of a compromise as Prytania to St. Charles is a very short city block, measurable in feet.

Word is that JPSO will not be coming to NOLA due to the consent decree, at least that’s the excuse they are using. Maybe someone in the JPSO can chime in.

She’s the worst mayor not in your lifetime also.

And she’s got the benefit of being paired with the worst DA, the worst Governor, a top 5 worst city council and based on all educated guesses what will be the worst sherif.

Word is Latoya refused to allow JPSO in NOLA. She straight up said no to them and any requests to fund them or coordinate them were denied by her office.

Thoth was told they could not hire other LEO due to a federal decree. So not can’t happen I guess. I don’t remember seeing JP cops on the route.

The Endymion Ride cut off one of the best parts of the ride. The start is great but after the turn on Canal gets bad by the time we reach the VA and then starts getting better again around Bourbon (ain't there this year on the ride ) until we hit Lee Circle
