Looking at roster I see nobody except walk ons that were from Louisiana. Different than prior years.

Great. They are undefeated and ranked 19th.

I have always wondered why Louisiana doesn’t produce more basketball talent than it does. It’s a gold mine for baseball and football talent but just doesn’t seem to have the blue chip kids in basketball.

Yeah will Wade have made us into a national recruiting power. We don’t have to rely on local talent alone, which is typically not great here due to the sheer lack of people

It’s okay for baseball. It’s not nearly the level football is.

There really have not been any really good players lately as far as I know.

I know Baylor’s National champion team had a starter from Louisiana a year or two ago.

Most play football and most of those that don’t can’t qualify

Sad but many of the players that might be high enough caliber for CBB are non qualifiers.

Louisiana is damn good for baseball recruiting. It’s not what Cali, Florida, Texas, or Georgia produce but it’s damn good

Louisiana is not a basketball state. It’s also not a gymnastics, beach volleyball, swimming, track and field or even golf state.

It’s a top 12-14 type of state.

Yeah, they actually had two and both were huge for them. Jared Butler was their best player. A 2-time All-American who was MVP of the Final Four.

Got a couple next year.

Lockett from Newman is a nice guard and his coach is Randy Livingston so hopefully that works in our favor.
