Was LSU in on his recruiting?

This is why college basketball is great. He’s 6’7 and probably a top 10 big man in America. Almost impossible he will play in the nba but he’s going to be a legend in Ruston for all eternity.

Would look great in purple and gold if he has another year of eligibility next season.

He gets 19/11 & makes 60% of his shots, and has played well against international competition. He’s pretty good
LSU by a million, still

He's good. I just don't see him getting his way against the likes of Reid and Fudge.
Last year we had NO presence on defense near the rim.

A really good college post player. He’s not going off tonight like he did last year though

He’s a freshman because of Covid. He has 3 years left

Why do you say that? Because he plays at Tech? If so, that’s pretty dumb…

Carl Malone is still the King in Ruston .

That kid knows how to navigate the paint. Really like watching him play.

He’s still behind Millsap in my book. And of course Karl

Edit: Also, if he were 6'10" he wouldn't be at Tech.

He doesn’t really fit the mold of the modern NBA player. He isn’t very athletic or long, he hasn’t developed shooting range. His skills are playing the 5, but he isn’t long enough, and he can’t pop out to the corner for a 3. His best bet is to drop weight, develop a shot, and try to fill a P. J. Tucker type role. PJ spent 6 years playing outside of the NBA before he made it. Not saying he can’t, but it’s a pretty big uphill battle for a guy playing the role he does in college.

Judging by last year’s game.. extremely good. Dude knows how to use that big body to get in great position, handles the ball well for his size as well.

Very good. As many have pointed out in this thread, his game may not translate to the NBA. In last year’s game I was very impressed with his footwork and his ability to use his big body to get off his shot. He was easily the best player for Tech last year and two minutes into the game everyone watching knew too.

Nobody else was in on his recruitment. He wasn’t even rated in 247 and Tech was his only offer

He is a modern day Charles Barkley.

Or he could try the Udonis Haslem route. He was a FREIGHT TRAIN for the Gaytors, then lost a couple small children and played in the association for 15+ years.
