Are y’all serious right now? I didn’t think this was even debatable at this point. Chalking this up as bad luck is bullshite. You ever hear Saban, CBK, or Dabo talk about getting unlucky… Regardless of the situations good coaches must adapt. He continued to make bad hires at the coordinator positions and could not capitalize on the strong recruiting classes we were getting. That coupled with all the off the field issues are what sunk his ship.

Oh, so being a good coach shouldn’t be a qualification for the LSU head coaching job? Get the frick out of here with your nonsense.

And yet you're the one saying that O was qualified for the job. Glass houses, my friend.

What an idiot! He may not have been a great coach, but he did win us a natty. Get off his nuts. Show a sliver of respect. Just an aside, I thought he needed to go as well, but no need to bash. GEAUX TIGERS!!

This happens at Bama most every year. Saban still manages to reload every year and repeats every year.

Coach O ran this place into the ground

I agree O is responsible for the current state of the program. He recruited well in some areas, but was deficient in others and in an ability to manage a program like LSU.

However, i disagree that we have been "(run) into the ground". i was @ LSU in Hallman days and we are still in better shape now than then. And we are putting grownups back in charge.

.500 over 2 seasons isn't "into the ground". it's been worse. i'm hopeful for the future. we'll get the NIL, recruiting & roster mgmt figured out.

Yes. O is responsible for where he left the program, but i'm not worried about him anymore. we may not currently be ranked in top 25 in FB recruiting, but the avg quality of our currently signed classed is only matched by a handful of teams. this is more of a 2 year blip than a program that's been run into the ground. IMO

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Do you really think he was trending to another natty next year? Not sure we’re watching the same team.
In 2023 we certainly were trending competing for a Natty. Would have competed in 2024 as well.

Yes, in year 3 Orgeron had not developed an Alabama caliber program that could lose 15 players to the NFL as well as the DC to another job. But guess what? Coach Kelly ain't Saban either.

O said we have to run the spread, he hired the guy to teach us how to run the spread, he recruited the transfer qb to lead us running the spread. You guys need to stop acting like O had nothing to do with 2019.

The man didn’t start from dust. He took over a team that was more often winning 10 games than not.

So how is Ed Orgeron at fault for 2022 recruiting woes when our class was ranked 3rd in the country before Woodward fired him

Oh because he tanked the program so bad he had to get fired

If he just does his job and hires competent assistants than he doesn’t get fired.

And in 3 years that team went 15-0. But we aren't talking about that. We are talking about being able to recover from losing 15 players to the NFL and your DC in one off-season. Also throw in a covid off-season and your best QB getting injured the next 2 seasons.

The NCAA is the NFL's bitch. Having said that, allowing collegiate football athletes to receive compensation (or whatever) will spell the doom of collegiate football.

So where do I complain about my taxes going to support collegiate football athletes? You do realize those tax dollars eventually trickle down to those collegiate athletes, right?

Downvote away!!
