JSU signings show that high end talent doesn't care about your school

It is all about making the league, getting paid and playing time to show out.
They don't care for LSU as much as you do. They will sit out bowls, transfer in the middle of the season or just straight up sit out.
It's a new age of college football.

They care about getting paid.
Playing at JSU absolutely won’t help his draft stock.

That's what you got out of the JSU signing?? You think he couldn't have gotten paid and drafted anywhere he went?

Thank you, Coach Primetime, for helping our offense out against FSU.

Barstool Sports is reportedly giving him an NIL deal in the millions. Deion Sanders is affiliated with Barstool

The reality is that it probably won’t hurt it either. Because the scouts will still go watch him play and their opinion is all that matters.

That’s ok because eventually it’ll be a 2 way street. Right now they hold all the cards but soon it’ll backfire.
A lot of kids will get processed in the future. If a kid gets hurt and isn’t a superstar, replace him in the portal. These kids better produce ASAP and work hard bc they’ll be expendable. If a kid can enter the portal at will then coaches should be able to cut them at will and make room for the portal kids. After all, it’s a business decision.

With him JSU will have 2 better starting corners than LSU. But keep believing that bullshite if it helps you sleep

The only thing it shows is some recruits don’t care about competing.
They care about getting paid some money and they’ll still be looked at when draft time comes.
The love of the game and competition is fading when the money is being thrown around to everyone.

Unfortunately...................this is true.

You don't think playing for the best Cornerback of all time can help a Cornerback's draft stock?

Is this supposed to be a slight against them? I don't blame anyone for those things. I'd do the same in their shoes.

I graduated from LSU over 20 years ago. I've been to countless games and love LSU. How could I be so naive to think that a 18 year old high school kid would love LSU as much as I do?

Once the schools started treating football like big business, this was an eventuality. The schools don't show fans any loyalty. We get screwed on parking, tailgating, concessions, ticket prices, etc. Why should a recruit be more loyal to the school than the school is to its fans?

The NFL knows fines the talent regardless.

I’ll check back in 3 years. Can see where the recruits rated similarly end up and where he does. May work out may not. Time will tell.

That’s why the college football I grew up watching is gone. It’s not enjoyable anymore. Glad I got to witness 2003 2007 (2011*) 2019

Walter Payton was drafted #4 overall at Jackson State

A hall of fame RB didn’t help our RB’s

Right because every 5 and 4* pans out so NFL teams don’t even need to see them play D1 WRs.
We know they’re better because they lock down such prestigious WRs as…
There were 18 HBCU players in active rosters in NFL. Talent always shines through but that doesn’t mean they’re going top 10 in the NFL draft.
