That game was crazy, I was too young to see it live but watching it now, it was crazy
Dale Brown was a better coach then people on here give him credit for

How are you watching it?

LMU and UNLV games were some of the best PMAC has ever seen.

Not sure that game was the best example of this, but it was exciting.

Was at that game my senior year. How would you like to score 141 points in a game and still lose by 7? That was an amazing game to watch. It was like a tennis match with the way everyone's head had to move to follow the action on the court. The UNLV game was pretty awesome that year too.
This is why Dale Brown will always be my favorite basketball coach at LSU despite what so many naysayers scream. Basketball was FUN when Coach Brown ran the show! (Gotta admit that it's kinda fun again now too.)

I was fortunate enough to attend both of those. Tough seeing that team lose so early in the tourney.

Actually I think it was. I remember him saying he had told the guys go out there and have fun and play loose. That was how you had to play against them. LM played with such a attacking crazy style that rarely a team slowed them down and was successful. The teams that hung with them and beat them would run with them but under control because the Loyola style left a ton of easy open opportunities.

I was in the house for that. Camped out overnight to get my tickets

Touche' to each his own. From my perspective, if I were to make that argument I would have chosen probably 20 examples before this one.
But I will say to run with them was great entertainment for the fans. We had the talent to do that so for me it was a no-brainer. And Dale was all about theater.

Yep, I was there.. that was one of the most wildest fastest games I know I’ve ever watched…ball would go through the hoop and was on the other end of the court in a mere 2-3 seconds..I needed Gatorade at halftime watching that track meet..I know they did burn up the teletype by halftime..Hank Gathers (RIP) and Bo Kimble were the workhorses for LMU along with a few other star players… that was definitely one for the books…

Was the first LSU sporting event I ever attended.

Then you saw one of the greatest LSU basketball games of all time…

I was at that game in Long Beach, CA. Had never witnessed in person such an offensive onslaught. Once opponents figured it out (Dale wasn’t one who did), they no longer looked like world beaters.

Probably by far hands down the best game I’ve ever watched in person and it’s not even close. It was sick like every 7 seconds a shot was put up.

Dale Brown should have won a national championship with one of those Shaq teams

The Arizona game the next year was awesome, too. Shawn Griggs had something like 7 steals and the Deaf Dome was rocking

Was it really cold the night prior to that game? Around 35-40 degrees? If so, I was there also. My memory is a little fuzzy but I do remember I got cold as hell sleeping on that concrete concourse.
