Scarborough just hinted why Max is transferring now

Scarborough said he was told that Coach Kelly is going after one of the elite QB’s in the transfer portal and he named a couple. Now you know why Max is transferring, more QB competition is coming to LSU

I hope it’s an upperclassman experienced QB, because I want no part of any transfer QB who would make Walker Howard consider leaving.

I'll remember Max Johnson for 2 things: holding on to the ball far too long and making absolutely zero improvement from his first season to the next.

Did say elite... Ewers is indeed considered elite. Have to beat Sark for him, but nothing worth doing is easy.

I seriously doubt he would come here to play backup, but I wish we could bring in Charlie Brewer from Utah. He wants to be closer to Texas. He only has one year left after leading Baylor to a great season a couple years ago before Rhule left. Then went to Utah and got benched. A veteran player like that could provide competition for Nuss, and experience in the backup role if needed. Like I said though, no way is he transferring to be a backup.

Did you see max had a press conference to discuss his transferring options ? It lasted 3 hours , he wouldn’t let go of the microphone.
