The government socially engineered this with their welfare programs that allow women to have kids they would normally be unable to afford
The government doesn't solve problems. It creates programs to reduce the impact of problems, but the problems never go away.
If we just cut welfare for single moms... we'd have a lot more poverty and hungry kids. We wouldn't have less single moms. These single moms aren't thinking about lack of welfare access when they spread their legs after a night at the club. And the deadbeat dads aren't thinking about this stuff when they pick up some random at the club and get it on.
There is no government solution - or removal of government solutions - that will solve this problem.
We need to as a society, really push not getting knocked up in the first place. Really push contraception use.
Blaming divorces is silly. Most divorced dads take care of their kids. The ones that do not are no different than the guys who knock a girl up and then leave.

Tough fricking shite. Then you arrest the moms for not being able to feed their kids and call it child abuse. These women need to be held accountable for taking any dick willing to nut in them. They create a strain on society and get to leech off of taxpayers while not lifting a finger to contribute to society.

I would add drug testing and stop giving more money for having more kids . After 2 kids they should start reducing the money given to people on welfare .

Disability fraud is a huge, huge part of this and it never gets talked about.
Yep. I be almost every single person can name at least 1 instance.
I did home appraisals back in the day. I went to NUMEROUS homes where the owner was "disabled," yet managed to have fabulous hobbies like gardening or even working on cars/equipment in their driveway.
A former co-worker of mine was so sick, he could no longer work. But, somehow, is able to own horses and post photos all the time riding them.
Meanwhile, there's a deaf cashier at my Publix. A wheelchair-bound guy at Lowe's. And so on. frick thieves.
Try reporting one of them, you will get scolding by some govt employee for daring to assume someone's situation.

We didn't get to this point overnight.
It will not be corrected in short order.

Job creation and reducing the cycle of criminal behavior would help. It can be accomplished through:
Abolish minimum wage laws. People should be able to obtain entry level jobs at whatever wage rate their value matches a business’s determination of what they are willing to spend for an entry level job.
If abolishing minimum wage is too politically charged (it is) , then subsidize it with all forms of welfare. To receive handouts, you must agree to do something. All welfare agencies can be consolidated with the Dept of Labor to help oversee this endeavor.
Legalize and regulate illegal drugs. Ingredients and potency should be clearly identified. Tax rates can change to keep pricing competitive with illegal drug organizations.
Incarceration should be exclusively for violent offenders. Property offenders can be on a form of supervised release or probation with GPS monitoring. Costs to be paid through wage garnishment from their forced employment (court ordered) through job creation made possible by minimum wage abolishment/subsidy.
Lower across the board interest rates on loans for married couples.

If only children born in wedlock could inherit, we would be deafened by the clap of thighs slamming shut.

Cool. So where do we put the kids while mom is in jail? Is there a ton of available space in foster care that I am not aware of?

Sure. What about the guys that nut in them?

Men that have fathered kids and are absent need to be publicly shamed....regardless of their skin color.
Yes sir but it needs to come from their family, not just public, look my parents got divorced when I was in the 7th grade so no father in the house, but let me tell you if I was to mess up bad in school or life I knew I had to answer to my father too, and he was always a phone call away, and this was before cell phones I could still get ahold of my dad any day after school, I can hear the voice now, cuyahoga tiger your sons on the phone again.
My point is there a reason you do right or stick around it’s because you know better and their is somebody in your family that you don’t want to disappoint, maybe that’s the most important part, who do kids have that they don’t want to disappoint or want to impress?

Corporal punishment should make a comeback. And it should be done publicly and videotaped and recorded. The government could have a youtube type website setup where you could watch the punishment.
Slapping wrists and no bail isnt doing anything to deter crime. If you knew when you got caught that you would get 10 licks with a paddle, and it was on a website like punishmenttv.gov forever some of these diddndonuffins might reconsider.
And if they didnt reconsider the next time it should be 25 licks. I guarantee I could make someone regret breaking into their neighbors house.

1. No limit on a dollar for dollar credit for adoption. One reason abortion is so rampant is that it costs $400 when an adoption costs $40,000.
quote:Yuck. How does that change anything?
4. Instead of having taxes taken out of your paycheck, you write a check quarterly.
quote:Why should divorce be tougher than it is? That doesn't help anyone, especially kids. Seems like people who use no fault divorces would have child support better figured out than other types.
6. No-fault Divorce should have the same shame that bankruptcy once did. It should be difficult, expensive and have far reaching consequences on one's status, employability and such.

Interesting idea. Sending them to jail doesn't work because black culture views doing time as a badge of honor. Public humiliation might be a solution.

All crime and poverty will probably be cut in half within a decade.
The destruction of the traditional family was deliberate as much as it was diabolical.
I spent my life trying to undo the damage done to families. One family at a time. I have many heartbreaking stories of fatherless sons, adrift with no moral compass. Drifting into drugs, sex, and crime. The same sons and daughters now burning down your cities.

True. These problems usually get worse. Thanks government!

Nonsense. If there were negative ramifications for having children out of wedlock, people would eventually change their behavior. Many of the folks that don't care about being responsible adults through careful family planning are brought up in communities that see having more kids as a pathway to more government handouts. Why wouldn't they? They've been taught this path over and over as generation after generation is raised to be reliant on gov't handouts.

The vast majority of out of wedlock children we are talking about here, those receiving government welfare, are not in line for any inheritance regardless of their parents' marital status.

These people have made bad decisions for years and are surrounded by bad decisions. I don't think this is what's going to change their direction.

This all sounds great but unless you add:
#5. Must be a net taxpayer over a 4-year running average in order to vote.
These plans have no hope of being maintained indefinitely.
