Kid is starting to believe in his self . Just imagine if everyone could stay healthy and play to the best of their ability. What a team we could be. The Pelicans Prayer

The question is... Can he reach this ceiling playing second fiddle to BI?

I think both Trey & Herb both have a very high ceiling. I’m hopeful another year of maturity & off-season of shot development will push them closer to that goal

The BI hate here is weird for a guy who’s preformed when healthy and stuck by this franchise for the past 4 seasons.

If not for BI balling in playoffs and us reaching playoffs — would Zion really have wanted to stay with pelicans and signed the big deal? Would ESPN be talking about how we should move some more?

We should be thankful for BI possibly saving this franchise. It’s not his fault if he’s banged up. The guy definitely wants to play and contribute to team success…

Once again, I don't "hate" BI. I actually think he's plays fairly hard when on the court. He's just NOT the most gifted person when it comes to playing D...and his overall offensive game just does NOT fit... given today's NBA style of play.

BI is awesome.

Just need him on the court to be effective.

OK, tell me all these gifted, desert of the day wings that are out there, clutch, led their team to the playoffs, while keeping in mind that if they were with Giannis, LeBron, Steph, or Kawhi they were’nt leading shite. Ill help you out with two, Durant and Tatum.

Your getting beyond ridiculous with these incessant flavor of the month takes. BI is all about NOLA and pulls this team together. This ain’t a fantasy league my guy.

* My bad, I came here to post on TM3’s great night and ran into your BI drivel for the umpteenth time.

No problem...I just don't think we can be serious contenders paying BI over $100M over the next 3 years as our "Robin". Times change...and if you don't adjust as a team...you're probably gonna get left behind. BI is an "old school" player...and there's a good reason you see very few of those, if any, on a seriously contending team. I COULD be wrong & he might lead us (hopefully with Zion as Batman) to the title. Hope so.

And FWIW: Was great to see TM have a wonderful game tonight. EVEN Herb had a solid game. TM actually gives me more hope for the future than BI does...at the moment.

Dinky, You make the playoffs first and then become contenders, thats the way real stuff works. Pels accomplished the first and were progressing well on the second before a host of significant injuries occurred… BI, Zion and Nance. Unfortunate and frustrating yes, but reality.

AND you haven’t addressed the posted question on these modern day wings that led their team to the playoffs. Give the NBA2K fantasies a break and lets see how reality plays out.

Imagine Willie thinking starting JRich over Trey was a good idea

If he develops a midrange and works on rebounding he can be a #2

Wow. Just wow. This is a massive reach.

Again.. Wow. Zion begged for the extension. It's the most money he can get. He's not taking the deal without the Pelicans making the playin?

Nobody hates Ingram. He is a maxed out "star". He is supposed to be a leader and driving the team to success. He is supposed to have extreme expectations. That's how it goes. I guess we should be thankful he's loyal (whatever that means) to the team that gave him a 2nd shot and a max deal..

You've been trying to say this for three seasons and it continues to be objectively wrong.

This is an ongoing debate. There are people that seriously say that he is a top 20 player, even a couple that argue top 10. Anytime someone throws a bit of shade his way, they attack.

It's been an ehh year for Ingram. He's missed a ton and has been hobbled (like McCollum). So I don't blame too much on him. Out of 30ish games, he has had 7-8 what I would call good to great performances. So about 1 out of 4 games he exceeds the norm. It's not bad. Just nothing special..

Trey reminds me a bit of Robert Horry. If he could ever become that type of defender, watch out.

He's ultimately too good to be coming off the bench and I think he pairs with Zion perfectly.

So totally healthy (LOL), where does he fit?

PG - Dyson
SG - CJ
SF - Ingram
PF - Zion
C - ??

Could he and Zion play a small ball 5?
