This country is headed for another Pearl Harbor/9-11 type event.

The leadership is inept and focused on things that do not matter. In their effort to bring equity to the country they have weekend the military to a point I for one didn't think it could ever get to.
There is a hot war going on that we are funding and our horrible policies are driving our two greatest enemies together for the first time in our short history as a country.
Remember what you are seeing because when it happens, they will blame the right, just like after 9-11.

Imagine believing that they don't. Our own government/corporate elites have much animosity towards "certain" American people. They(The Government) in general are inept and in over their heads and making this country dangerously vulnerable to those that have much animosity towards "All" of America.
Short sightedness such as yours is how we get to this situation in the first place.

Seemed quite clear to me the OP was referencing enemies in the traditional sense, i.e. foreign enemies. Not everything requires a snarky reply.

You're aware both 9/11 and Pearl harbor were allowed to happen correct? Both events gave the government what they wanted.

That's some revisionist history. I'm not going to argue you on 9/11 but by what logic does an evil government decimate one of their abilities to enforce their will on people? No group good or evil allows the vast majority of the Pacific fleet to get sunk.

Why was the carrier fleet not there?

Our leadership is planning said event, just like they planned or stood idly by for the previous ones because they could manipulate the public reaction to support the end-game they wanted.

I’ll say this. At least we’d get to revel in the irony of the left suddenly accusing conservatives of “Russophobia” just like they did with “Islamophobia”.

A 9-11 event is a daily concern. It could happen a myriad of ways.
Pearl Harbor type event? Negative ghost rider.

2 carriers were on missions. 1 was coming back from San Diego after an overhaul. Naval strategy at the time still focused on large tonnage battleships and cruisers. Carriers were seen as auxiliary ships at the time used for scouting. Once the war started naval strategy shifted.
You understand if the miracle at Midway doesn't happen the US has no Pacific carriers right? But the US government just knew the navy would avoid detection and sink the 4 Japanese carriers right?

When I comment that this certainly seems to be where we're headed, I feel like I make yet another "watch list". Seeing the obvious is not far from becoming a thought crime.
Hopefully we never see anything on that scale ever again, but an enemy on the outside looking in (or on the inside) would clearly see that we (the USA) are astoundingly weak and vulnerable right now, and at least for a couple more years.
However, I look for China to make their move on Taiwan first while we're still busy funneling tens of billions to Ukraine while kids on our own streets starve- and then I could see some major event on US soil occurring, to distract us from which we are already involved.
Even under Obama (and most certainly under Trump) I feel like we could have handled these potential scenarios simultaneously. Now, when you look around, it's clear that we can't even handle our own localized environmental disasters (see Ohio and mountain California). shite finna get uuuuugly.

I thought this was common knowledge?
The common knowledge is yes we were warned of the attack but didn’t actually believe it so it never went anywhere. This is more arrogance than anything.
Essentially they didn’t expect kamikazee pilots.

Our leadership is weak. A Pearl Harbor/9-11 type attack will only hasten the fall of this country. We will enter panic mode, and assist another country in destroying us.
We almost destroyed ourselves over the sniffles.
I said it before, another foreign power will begin to realize just how little the American government cares about its citizens, and will no longer be afraid to attack America.

Exactly. And likewise this new progressive liberalism believes that that the world thinks like they do and that all problems are traced to climate, or social inequity. With the exception of other ignorant European nations no one else cares about this crap.
Like the old saying arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand and boy this government has been ate up with both for the last 20 or so years.

I just completed reading this book on the causes of WW 1 last month. The political situation then has a lot of scary similarities of today. Weak leaders, diplomats who would not communicate with anyone, military leaders building up their armies/navies for no logical reason.
If we keep a dem for president we will have WW 3 in 4 years.
