According to the LaToya Cantrell Recall organizers' Instagram post , only 1029 more signatures are needed to reach the required number of signatures. They have until next Wednesday, 2/22 to obtain those signatures.
I want to believe.
I want to believe.

What difference does it make

Need a larger margin of error, Latoya is gonna find a way to get a few thousand thrown out on technicalities

The fact that the petition appears to be struggling, even after all of the damning news and stories that came out, tells you all you need to know about the direction New Orleans is headed.

They need nearly 3x more signatures than voted against her in the last election. That’s not easy task.

Well a failed recall would be catastrophic.

These things never work

Yes the fact that they are close is pretty good actually

Those signatures on the list best hope this recall goes through. There’s about to be even more “construction” on these people’s streets.

Believe me, this is one of the most frustrating things of all. Completely inept leadership governing equally apathetic voters.

Cantrell is such an evil, vile, disgusting person.

I would love it just to piss that crooked bitch off. Yeah, some dumb liberal like Helena Moreno (who heavily supported the POS DA Jason Williams) might be the type of person that would try to run if the recall effort succeeds, but since we're f'd anyway, I'd like for Latoya to sweat. You know she needs the money and can't afford to be losing her "job".
