While Jackson politicians doing what they do and trying to figure out how to get their cut of the water funds the fed govt is printing. Will be interesting to hear what kind of bail is set for the perp.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A regular day at the gas pump turned into one grandmother’s worst nightmare Saturday after a man pointed a gun at her 9-year-old grandson’s head and demanded they hand over their belongings.
quote:
Gray, who is currently raising her three small grandchildren, is heartbroken and in disbelief. She said that she and her family stopped for some gas around 4:30 p.m. Friday evening at the KWIC stop gas station on Forest Hill Road when the incident took place.
Her 9-year-old grandson, Tre’Dorius Gray Jr., volunteered to pump the gas. Gray says that’s when a man with a ski mask held her grandson at gunpoint. “I sat up on the steering wheel and I was looking through the rear-view mirror.
And I can see him from head to toe. I saw this guy walk up to him and grabbed him around the neck and twisted his shirt, he had his head up and I looked back and that’s when I saw the gun up to his head,” She said. The suspect then started making demands and threats. “So he was like ‘give me your purse,’ and I gave him the purse,” Gray said. “He said ‘get out,’ I got out with my hands up, I started walking backward, he put the gun to my stomach and he said ‘where is your keys?’ I said ‘they are in the car,’ and he said that if they are not in here I’m going to kill you.” The suspect drove off with Gray’s white 2014 Nissan Maxima and other personal belongings but didn’t take what’s most important - a life.
quote:
Gray tells us Jackson police informed her that they did locate her vehicle and have a suspect in custody. But in the meantime, she says her main concern now is being there for her grandchildren during this time.

Ok I don’t have kids and don’t remember when I started but what’s the age most let kids pump gas?

Jackson is a shithole.

Granny is probably 45. Get out of the car and pump your own gas.

Another reminder that we live in a fallen, sinful world, and that we all need forgiveness though Jesus Christ.

If you’re pumping gas, you have a weapon.

Looking at the bright side, it appears they know who is the father?

Be careful not to hold this entrepreneurial college student in contempt. He might have needed that Nissan to trade for cash to donate to hungry orphans.
Remember the LORD’s teachings:
But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Matthew 5:38
Judge not, that you be not judged.

I was just going 10-8 around the time the call went out and was on Forest Hill a lot last night. Wasn’t shocked to hear that call or the location. Just another day in south Jackson.

Please enlighten me what the 9 year old should have done to fight back against the grown man with a gun to his head?

Kid could’ve whipped out his 9 when the entrepreneur wasn’t looking.
Never try to draw on someone who is looking and also pointing a gun at you.

I started pumping my own gas around the age of 20. That's because back in the day there was a service attendant who pumped your gas while checking under your hood and cleaning all your windshields.
And you didn't pay until you were ready to drive off.
